T500 is great for its value, once you take the wheel off, you can use it as blender and with right adjustments also powerful drill.
I removed my car's tyres and mounted 4 t500.
Useless to say it's fast as fuck

I've used a DFGT for almost a year now and I can't imagine how awesome that T500 must be.

I had a T300 and one time when I turned my pc on, I was tucking some cables under my desk with my headphones on and the wheel started to calibrate. I was almost chocked to death - after getting rid of the cable, I coughed for around an hour after

Ricardo, you can fix the rattling problem by playing with the settings. Both in game and general settings on your computer. It's pretty easy.
DAGATHire Yes, i know, however rattling is always present even if you tweak the FFB Gain and vibrations. Whats important is that the rattling is normal.
Ricardo Daniel Costa Mate, you should research the setting further. I have the g27. In assetto it rattles like crazy on default settings. But i like a lot of FFB so i set the FFB to 200% but then i use the damping setting the remove the rattle. So i get really strong FFB and almost no rattle. It feels great. I can feel the under steer and the FFB is so powerful i can catch the over steer much faster, then the sweet spot where the grip is mid corner is perfect. You can really feel it. Forget about changing the gain. that causes more problems. Trust me. Se tyour wheel to default. Then go to a race. But before you start the race change the FFB and the damping. Try it. Also it's a great way to set up for drifting!
DAGATHire I dont like damping. It makes everything the wheel to soft. But you are right, i will tweak the wheel again. I play Assetto Corsa by the way.
Nice video comparision, I now have a DFGT and it alone has improved my finishes by simply giving me better feedback then my Black MOMO every did. I am now driving with anywhere from 70 to 90% FFB I love being able to feel the track.
Something about this video makes me feel very comfortable. Especially around the 3 minute mark. It's like I'm at my Grandmas house, if she was pro racecar driver.

I'm grateful to even have a wheel (DFGT) but that Thrustmaster.....ooohhh!!!! It's a larger wheel, smoother force feedback, and those lovely paddle shifters! 🤤😭

Topias Salakka Me too, but mine doesn't sound anything like the one in this video. It's way more silent. I think it also depends on how you mount the steering wheel. In the video it's mounted on a desktop which clearly increases the noise of the force feedback.
Don Heuvelman it doesn't. if it did you'd hear it with the t500rs, which has way stronger force feedback. the sound you're hearing is indeed the g27's gearing clanking.
***** As said, I also have the G27 steering wheel. Mine doesn't sound nearly the same as this one. Maybe they've fixed the issue in a later batch then?

I own DFGT for vew years now and it's brilliant wheel for the price. I think it is best choice for entry level wheel for someone new to simracing. However, I wouldn't mind if it had clutch pedal (I'm using custom one) and was little less noisy than it is.
Looking at G27 in this comparision I can see that it's pivot point is not in the center of the rim - is it OK like that or can it be somehow annoying?
As for T500, I don't like static paddles and lack of shifter (even sequentional, like in DFGT) for that price.

Dfgt is still great value for money. I picked one up on eBay 4 weeks ago for 30 pounds.

+M. Molli I'm in ecstasy! This is my first time playing with a wheel. The quality is surprisingly good. I expected less. The wheel is really grippy and sturdy. No moving around. This is true for the pedals as well. The brake is modded with a sponge for a better feel but the accelerator might need the same treatment. Even the little shift stick is good. It gives you a real rally feeling. :)
The force feedback makes all the difference. I'm surprised how strong it is. A decent shoulder workout if you will.
As a first game, I would suggest WRC 3. Everything is automatically configured and the stages are really pretty. The cars have a really nice feel to them. WRC 4 is on the horizon (oct. 9) but it's a bit pricey.
All in all, a great starter wheel with a decent build quality and plenty of buttons. The pedals are the weak point, however modding the brake pedal mitigates this a bit. Back to blowing some engines!

Once you work everything you thought it was expensive as a student becomes kinda cheap. Got a new g29 without even caring of the cost.
But at the same time you will have to save up and sacrifice for expensive goods like another motorbike or a sport car.

Managed to buy my dfgt for 40€, that surelly beats ever other wheen in price range. I'm not saying dfgt is the best, actually is quite behind but it does a lot for money. It has 900 degres, powerfull ffb, sequential shifter(beter than nothing) lack of clutch
To when you calibrate the DFGT by pressing a button it does that weird jerking motion then spin right and spasm in that position? That's normal? I bought a used one and it does the same thing but I thought that it was broken.
I'm using the DFP I bought over 10 years ago, still going strong. I'll probably buy another Logitech when the time comes.
Thanks for this comparison. I have the DFGT and love the sequential shifter, looking to upgrade due to incompatibility with ps4. Wish more wheels offered sequential shifters.
If you buy a Thrustmaster wheel and want a sequential shifter, the TH8A comes with a sequential shift plate that allows the sequential feel while keeping the same shifter.
Just buy a chronus u can use it on Xbox x and ps5

You have to go in the settings for the logitech wheel and set to 900 for the gittery thing to work properly

I wonder how do you set your wheel so even if you move it the car turns THAT little. I have an old Microsoft Sidewinder which I'm just testing out to see how the game runs on my computer but it seems to turn A LOT no matter what...it should have 240-270° but it's always too sensitive no matter how I set it.
Looks like you had trouble driving with the DFGT. Was that because of the wheel or pedals?
The Logitech DFGT is very good budget wheel

Nice Video! I got myself a G27 but have big trouble with it. After a while the wheel looses it centre point. I mean it wont center properly! For example ur going straight but ur wheel is off to the left, even though ur going straight :/

I have got a GXT 27 but it does steer only 90 degrees. It's not a simulation wheel, but it works fine with games like Need for Speed or Grid Autosport, so games where you have to drive fast and not really carefully and precisely like in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

my dfgt makes that whining noise but I cannot remember that clattering. and even when I feel that clattering gets close I turn down the ffb you don't need max strength to feel the road.

The reason that the T500 is making noise is because the vibrations from the stronger ffb motor, shake the internals, causing them to make a noise. Which is why the rattle sounds diffrent from thw g27 and DFGT rattle noise, since:
The g27 and DFGT 'rattle' sound are caused by the ffb gears inside making contact, thereby making a noise and a feeling of gears grinding towards eachother in the ffb.
The only wheel system which can be nearly 100% silent are Direct Drive wheels.

If the steering locks at 180 on the logi driving force gt you need to open the Logitech gaming software the old one then it should be fixed

T150 Pro, because it already has the T3PA pedals, so you can buy a H-shifter for it.

The funny thing is that ur t500 is bigger than ur screen:D for me g29 is the best choice best paddle set and great vbreake feelings!!
If u play assetto corsa and want to get rid of the ratteling noice, do this.
Go in advanced in the stearing wheel settings and do this then turn thes up by 1% to get rid of the noice

and original setting are 100% exept center spring force that are 125% in logitech stearing setings

Had a DFGT when I used my PS3, but since I went up to PS4 I have had to upgrade to a Thrustmaster T300RS (Thanks Sony!). Both great wheels, but T300RS is quieter and smoother, being belt driven rather than gears.
