I'm from Australia and here the car is called a Holden TK Barina. There are no videos that show how to change the door handle so you may want to list it also as a TK Barina (2005 - 2011) Door Handle removal. Thanks for making my job easy, the plastic snapped and I need to replace it.
So I've learnt two things today. 1/My Holden Barina is know as a Chevy Aveo in the U.S., and 2/ removing the door panel to replace my broken door handles will be a helluva lot easier than I thought. Thanks for the tutorial. You have saved me another over the top bill.
As the current owner of a 2009 chevy aveo with only 50 thousand miles I will say DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CAR. It's constantly having either plastic problems, or electrical problems. 50 thousand miles in and I've already replaced a starter and an alternator. It's CONSTANT maintenance. Beware!!!
You'd need to remove the door panel to access the cable from the inside handle to the latch. The outside handle could then be replaced. That's basically why I made the video was because I needed to take the panel off. Probably will be harder since you can't open the door, but I don't believe the bottom of the panel is screwed to the door, and just held on with clips.
The silver door handle broke snapped off!👻🙃😡What a plastic CLOWN car! $20 to replace online. I had a plastic piece break under the hood $300 problem in the end, when a friend was replacing a hose. Rear view mirror popped off. Gasket issues now. 2021. Things are bound to need repair. Still...VERY PLASTIC car. Beware!

Thank you very much for this video and adding Barina to the title. Also in Australia, and you just saved me booking it into a mechanic 🙂

Thanks. About to replace broken handle. Useful info.
Another Aussie, about to replace handle that snapped.
Was thinking i'd need to take off the whole panel but apparently not.
Nope, just be gentle snapping the new one in place.
....what would you say if the outside and inside driver handles are broke and can't open the door?

Anybody have the part number for this piece handy? It just snapped in half on my mom's car!
Helpful 🙌🏼
