I also have both carriers, personally I feel the scout is more comfortable, soft/floppy and looks so much nicer. However the buckle on the HBC is the most convenient along with the built-in hood. Great review, you have a nice collection of carriers 😍
I recently tried a Tula, and the waist strap dug into my back and was extremely uncomfortable for me. My Ergo 360 has never done that. Do you find that the HBC digs in at all for a front carry?
The HBC is different from both of those others mentioned in that it does not have a structured waistband. This is part of the reason I like it so much and find it to be so comfortable!
thank you for this video! I'm looking to get a scout for my 25 lbs toddler, do you reckon it would still be supportive and comfortable for wearing a toddler? looking forward to hearing back!
At 25lbs I think you would be fine with either of these carriers. I don’t find it to be uncomfortable until closer to the weight limit. They are both rated up to 45 lbs but I personally don’t think either are supportive enough for my 40 lb toddler. If you wanted to rent a scout before buying JoyfulBabyCo has that option as well!
If I could only have one carrier of this style I would have to go with the HBC original, because of the ease for air travel. We live far away from family and fly pretty frequently so it’s a big factor for me. However the scout waist is significantly more comfortable to me and yes - I find I have less spillage. 😉

The hood pocket is definitely a plus. I always have to be careful to remember where I have put the scout hood when I take it off. 😅
I Just scored a scout for $80 with leather! I’m so excited to try it! 😭 thanks for this video.
What a steal! What colorway is it?
@@carrymemama77 it was the onyx with leather!
Love your video! So helpful, any tips on cleaning the scout with leather?
So helpful!! ❤️ Thanks Rae….I think I’m going to buy Sakura & see how nursing on the go is 🤞

If you could only pick one. Which would you choose? Do you get less muffin top with Sakura?
