“I’m not gonna fly over water because that would be stupid” - literrally first shot flies over water😂
Great job man! cool video.
Damn man iflight have you the drone 😱 that’s awesome!
Try a prime lens or manual/cine lens. Less moving components inside of the lens. Awesome video I just started fpv and your videos are a huge inspiration!
cheers mate, i wanted to buy one id would remotely use though not these random manual lenses haha
its because of the optical image stabilization, the little mechanisms that actually move the sensor aren't rigid enough for those small vibrations
sick, keep going!
Most underrated mans on UA-cam rn
cheers fam
Cool contents!
It’s because the Sony zve1 has IBIS so the sensor will move around inside the camera. Komodo, Fx6, and bmpc are mainstream for cinelifters because they do not have ibis.
i turned it off though haha looked fine for me, only had jello because i cranked the shutter due to the dust 😅
@@andyescapes oh good! Ibis isn’t something that can be completely removed though by turning it off or on in the camera because it’s something that’s built in and will always move to some degree. You have most likely tuned your drone/ setup in a way where it’s minimized. I think there was another Australian UA-cam video where some guy was flying his a7siii on his lifter and had similar problems. Good to hear that you’ve got good results though! I wish that the fx3 didn’t have ibis :(
@cole.parker you're right! i was gonna write the same but you said it perfectly! even with IBIS turned off the sensor is still vibrating within in the body since it's not hardmounted.
@@cole.parker is this like confirmed 😂 or is the vibrations like so small it’s only noticeable on a drone and not hand held since i’m sure selling a camera that will have wobbles when ibis is turned off doesn’t make sense haha i saw that video as well and i think my footage is pretty decent comparatively but cheers for the very interesting insights
@@andyescapes I think it’s just the frequency of the vibrations from the motors are just muuuuch higher than what ibis is designed for. Yeah yours looks decent! Def possibly to get good results with IBIS but it just can be harder to achieve or inconsistent. Cheers man!
Always take a Lens Cleaning Kit and a Sensor Cleaning Kit with you on filming ventures.
yeah usually don’t need one as i don’t expose the sensor putting it in drones hahaha
Have you had any stabilization on your camera or lens active? This could be a reason for the blurres maybe...
It’s nice to see someone trying this camera out! I fly a sigma fp on a custom built 7” fpv drone, and I’m spoiled now with the full-frame 12bit raw footage and never want to fly a GoPro even when it would be the better option😂! As several people mentioned below, the “floating” ibis sensor is causing you some problems at the speed and type of flying you are doing. It would probably be fine for slower more “cinematic” flying. Also, for syncing the gyro data in gyroflow- did you remember to set an offset time, to offset when you started the camera recording from when you armed the quad. If not, it won’t match up and work….
I think he probably used the gyro data right on the camera, so why would he need to do anything with offsetting from arming the quadcopter?
Yes, if using the Sony camera gyro data you wouldn’t need the offset… I just have to do that with the sigma since it doesn’t record any gyro…
You need mechanical stablisation mount and as someone already suggested definitely need to use a prime lens as well. Have a look at Strawhat Sam's video especially for his Vulture drone, some good tips on how to achieve good performance for cameras that don't work well with gyroflow/fpv.
Yo ! for Sony cameras you need to use catalyst Brows software. Stabilisation only on 4K50p.
@@quentingaliani5584 its not necessarily the best, you can use gyroflow as well. I’ve used both and you absolutely need to nail the physical stability first on the drone which is critical.
have you thought about soft mounting the zv-e1 to the base of the mount you got then securing it tight? Higher FPS maybe 50fps and 1/100shutter might work better too. sick idea though!
i think the wobbles were gone at the end only looked bad because i wanted to go low aperture so you couldn’t see the dust as bad haha
Hey, what is your tune one the chimera with the camera on top ?
Impressed 👍! So 7' can do this, did u feel somewhat heavier when u punch throttle? But yes!! Dont crash😮
Why all the banding in the sky etc- did you have it on 10 bit?
牛逼坏了老哥👍
With the liftoff game can i use a ps4 controller and in the betafpv cetus pro drone good for beginners
What is the minimum PWM frequency on your drones esc? I cant find the gyro frequency on the zve1 but it might be worth trial and error style bumping up the esc min frequency to move it away from the zve1's gyro. Could alleviate/solve your vibration issue
Also, you have microjitters because the sensor is not fixed, sensor is loose because thats how the ibis works.
Very cool.. definitely try a prime lens
I think you should put some O-rings on the screws between the drone and the camera mount. It would probably help to reduce vibration.
i think the vibration was decent at the end? only had jello cause i had to crank the shutter
@@andyescapes It's decent but it can be better !
Good attempt but so much dust bring a rocker blower with u next time 👍
Im sure its been said but its because your camera has ibis. Even with it off you will still get vibrations due to how the sensor is mounted with ibis.
fine i’ll try it with a zve10 and see if there’s any difference haha
@@andyescapes I believe that camera stores gyro data and works with gyroflow
@@joem.5134 both do but for some reason after making a lens profile it looked crap haha
Really, is that confirmed? Cameras with no IBIS have fewer problems with vibrations and stabilization? As in, turning off IBIS is not enough? Is that the case for all IBIS cameras?
@@OranJuno Yes, if a camera has ibis the sensor is held in place by magnets. Doesn't matter if its on or off the vibrations/g-forces from maneuvers will overpower the magnets and shift the sensor.
is IBIS off? at a guess the sensor is vibrating.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I think more could be done to showcase the power of a APSC sensor over the 1/1.9 inch.
Can you try catalyst browse or gyroflow and a wider angle lens? with gyro data camera
catalyst browse looked really bad haha what do you mean by gyro data camera? the zve1 has gyro data
Man you really notice the difference when you cut back to the gopro footage at the end. ZV-E1 footage looks slick. Is catalyst browse still a thing? That's Sony's version of gyroflow right? This was such an epic idea though, hope you iron out the creases because this combo looks crispy 🔥
we may have to run it back aye 😂 yeah lol i tried colouring the gopro footage and thought this ain’t it haha catalyst browse isn’t designed for drones hahaha
What about jello? How did you solve this problem?
Haven't checked if anyone has mentioned this or not buuuut I think the Sony's need to have their sensors locked for fpv due to the ibis.. ✌️
You think it will work with 6 inch fpv drone?
Does ZV-E1 have IBIS? Some youtubber somewhere claimed the way to have stable footage is to fly with a camera that has no IBIS since IBIS is prone to pick up micro jitters from the motors too well. Does that seem to be true?
Suggestion : Find potato jet 😂
You should use a full frame lens
Only up from here
sheesh
Program the BLHELY32 to always stay at 96khz, or it will shake with that payload at mid to low throttle values
@@Tensentities maybe he is looking into it… I wasted a PID tuner’s entire day for the same issue…
@@alpenfoxvideo7255 lol this troll needs to get on with his day 😂 for my understand what is the default value and does that have any other impacts?
@@andyescapes on my chimera it was AUTO 24-96khz.
On 96 motors are smoother but less amperage peak, at 24 more current peaks which should mean more low-rpm torque. Racers lock them at 24.
I had Jello on my DJI Action 2 even with a TPU cage... Now I don't
I'll try it in my quad Geprc mark4 + Sony Nex F3 + 1650mm lens kit = 1 kg All
what you thinking about this ???
Nice shot but that dust dot 😅
What song at 5:40
Ahhh you didn't build a custom drone!!! I was expecting a custom beast haha 😂
sorry mate i’ve got a job and not enough time for that 😅😅
@andyescapes ok how about a dare, before the end of the year you build your own monster that is designed to transport the camera while being extremely snappy and precise like a racing drone. Think ultimate action filming rig, entirely designed by you :)
FLY OVER WATER!!! SEND IT !!!
idk if i have that in me 😂
Has anyone really perfected full frame on FPV. Everything I have seen and tried myself is not notably better when comparing for tack sharp imagery. I think vibration is the issue always with heavy lift,. Gopro is so well insulated and designed to dampen vibration. Its really hard to beat a gopro on fpv. DJI Avata image is outstanding in low iso and manual settings.
I think a 7” will be my next drone so i can strap a real camera to a quad
5 inch seems pretty capable to me! 😭
high shutter and high fps for gyro data - turn of ibis in camera
Isn't the ibis the problem. Camera without ibis would work better. Just guessing though.
u need a lens with Image stabaliziation. Also clean your sensor.
this lens does have stabilisation haha and woops i don’t normally put cameras on drones and expose sensors for that long haha
@@andyescapes sorry meant to say lens without* stabilization.
@@andyescapes then use warp stabilizer or something similar on only the section of the clip u want to use in the edit.
@@Robocopterfpv i used post stabilisation as well, gotta work the gyro flow!
@@Robocopterfpv oh i turned it complete off though
Well tried.. 🤝
You should try the 16mm or 20mm f2.8 pancake lenses. Much smaller, lighter, better center of gravity, and the 20mm has better sensor coverage than the 10-18.
yeah those definitely would be better but i didnt want a lens i would never use again haha
4:30 isn't it obvious that the camera is outweighing? There is a huge risk of stall, the drone is tilted even more at the moment of gas.
Clean your sensor bro 😂
Dont think i've seen anyone fly a barrel 🏄 just saying !
what does this mean haha
This was awful joke 😂 i was trying to clean my screen 3 times and then realized it is a dust on Lens/array of Yours 😅
Man 3d print a dummy cam for all you testing it hurts me to watch you almost wreck that camera 😂
if only i had a 3d printer haha and to be fair i’ve asked around what weight it could handle and i needed to see what the footage looked like to test
Mine is a little janky but if I can find the file and make it happen I’ll send it to you just be careful dude
nah... GoPro better with gyroflow
i need a lens profile and use this with gyroflow haha
all of these are alright, but neither look exceptional
i think that’s debatable haha
That lens is way to heavy probably giving you a lot of the problems your having.
lens is actually fairly light only like 200g i know it could be lighter though but i didn’t want to buy a useless manual lens haha
GoPro footage definitely doesn't look better, it looks like GoPro footage, you can see the digital sharpening and it's just not natural.
No need to buy that sony. You only need insta360 ace pro to get the result equally the same like that
How same 😂😂
iFlight, aren't these guys delivering drones to russian troops? But no biggie, as long as the no-talents get their stuff for free, everything goes.
When?
@@sg.jpg_yt You can look it up if you really want to. Wonder how Sony feels about Xi fanboys flying their cameras on the russian suicidedrones. Should we ask?
ua-cam.com/video/omg7blUold8/v-deo.html
what on earth mate m, i’ve been flying iflight for a while and that’s all i gotta say haha
@@andyescapes I hope that flies great at the Sony, too. And that’s all I gotta say.
