Kid goes to Cartersville in GA, lives like 25 minutes from me lol. Calhoun high school tweeted about their game a week ago and said "Going on the road to face Trevor Lawrence... I mean Cartersville" and Trevor tweeted back simply "Wrong move.." and lit them up, sat down at halftime and Cartersville won 58-6. Trevor had almost 300 yards and 4 tds in the 1st half.
TPChris Crazy thing is Calhoun is always a good team. That tells you how good cartersville is.

I totally agree, and I thought that LONG before he committed to Clemson/ Fields may end up being a good college QB in a couple years, while Lawrence may be NFL ready today. And yes, Lawrence might just be the best QB out of HS in the last 10 yrs. So sure, no comparison here

Made the best point. He’s going to Clemson. Watson ring a bell? Georgia high school legend, and was starting as a freshman at Clemson. Boyd, Watson, now Bryant, that system makes quarterbacks shine, and gives them all the athletes they need to be successful. He will be throwing to 5 star receivers all day. He not only will be more successful than Fields at the college level, the schooling at Clemson is going to turn him into a legend.
That kid has a weird instinct to understand where contact is coming from, elusive, moves the pocket before it’s even necessary, just on feeling, that’s shit that vets do 10 years into the NFL, not in high school. The pure natural instinct to make people miss, to know where the pressure is, the willingness to move or leave the pocket with eyes still making reads, you don’t teach that. Some kids have that, some kids don’t.
Fields is a better athlete, not by a huge margin, and has potential to be a bigger play type maker, and an NFL player, but he doesn’t have the instinct this kid has. It’s a one in a billion thing. When that gets coached up, he will be legendary.

Trevor Lawrence is better QB. Justin Fields is definitely the better athlete but Trevor Lawrence is better at the position
Fields is an athlete no doubt. But as a QB, he is not on the same planet as Lawrence. TL, is widely considered the best prospect in GA since Hershel. He has been called a generational talent. Several recruiting pundits have been quoted as saying Trevor Lawrence is the best QB prospect they have ever seen. One said that he is the best prospect he has ever seen, not just QB, in all of his 13 years covering recruiting.
There are a few things that set him apart from the others. His mechanics look like they are straight out of a instructional video. The touch that he puts on a ball at any range is incredible. You'll see him put the ball just over the hands of a DB and hit his target in stride.
He can make any throw on the field. The touch he can put on a ball across his body and the velocity when needed is just insane. People talk about this person or that person's cannon. TL doesnt put Michael Vick velocity on it unless it's needed.
He is far ahead of any peers in going through his progressions. He keeps his eyes down field all the time and sees open receivers, where others would not. He uses his eyes to bait defenders and makes them pay. That is something that most NFL QB's can't do. His pocket presence, ability to feel the pocket collapse, lightning quick release, and that "It" factor set him apart. Plus, He's 6'6, not rail skinny and mobile.
Only HS QB, that I've ever seen that I would put in the same universe is Ron Paulus.

Trevor Lawrence. He's more skillful and precise. Fields is a better athlete I'm but that's not necessarrilly the best QB. I just watched Lawrence in the Clemson spring game and he shredded what will be the #1 defense and was making Christian wilkins and Austin Bryant miss. Honestly I think he's better than Watson as a thrower. Again not quit the runner but he's just as if not more ellusive. Lawrence will do better at Clemson than fields will at UGA. Clemson has a better staff better surrounding talent and a better defense to back him up. Dude has Hunter renfrow Travian Thompson Tee Higgins and Amari Rogers to throw to. Then he has Tavion Feaster and Travis Eitienne feater being the #1 RB in his class and Eitienne being the fastest in his. He'd also behind one if the best OLs in the country. Georgia is good but their losing most of their defense and almost all of their offensive production. It's just not quite the situation Lawrence has.
