    Most of our students earn north of $70k starting. When I was working professionally I was at $100k. Most senior engineers I know who use unity are above $90k. $90-$150k.
    Great career opportunity.

      Been inactive for a bit, but it's seeming that six figure Unity jobs are becoming more and more prevalent, thanks for the input!

    Congrats man. Thanks for sharing. Would be great to see a video highlighting your process for developing the portfolio and resume that got you hired, or whatever process, methods and resources you used to get that Unity Developer role. Also, what posts you purusued and how you prepared for that interview.

    I keep applying for unity development positions and I almost never get picked. What type of projects would it be worth having on my resume in order to get an interview.

    • @InexperiencedDeveloper
      @InexperiencedDeveloper  2 роки тому

      It's less about projects and more about experience, they are looking for someone with years worth of experience and company work. My advice would be to freelance under an LLC and therefore have official job experience.

      @@InexperiencedDeveloper It's weird it's like a giant catch 22. They're looking for someone with years of experience but it's incredibly difficult to get the first job to get the years of experience. I got three years of experience working with an indie company making games and releasing them on steam. Now I'm not with that company anymore working odd jobs that have nothing to do with unity development. Which is just creating a giant unity gap in my resume.

    You're selling yourself way short. Your income is way above the average income in the US. You have to have a really large UA-cam channel or very successful games to make that type of money. You're doing great!

    Hi I'm 23 year old unity developer from India, I've been learning and working in Unity for over one and a half year now. Started as a hobby in pandemic but now I'm working with local company. Do you have any advice on how should I prepare to get remote job like from USA or any other country with better opportunities?

    • @InexperiencedDeveloper
      @InexperiencedDeveloper  2 роки тому +1

      There's nothing like on the job training, I would start a small freelance company and identify a target client and send 10-20 emails a day pitching Unity development to them. Whether it's VR, AR, or Metaverse, more and more companies are using Unity as an application development tool than solely a game engine.
