“Ain’t no fury like a woman scorned,” Prince sings in the scorching song “Fury,” his third single off 2006’s 3121. To capture the feminine power of the lyrics, Prince tapped three of his frequent collaborators from that era - Maya and Nandy McClean, also known as “The Twinz,” and the singer Támar, who sang backup vocals on the 3121 album - to dance alongside him in the promotional video for “Fury.”
The video was filmed in the summer of 2006, shortly before Prince and his band began their massive 3121 residency at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and began preparations for their historic Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2007. In addition to the Twinz and Támar, Prince is backed by the drummer Cora Coleman-Dunham, bassist Josh Dunham, and keyboardist Morris Hayes.

Prince was the most talented musician ever, and anyone who says otherwise is clueless. Fact is he had no weaknesses musically, outworked, outclassed and outperformed the rest with ease. 2nd best is not even in the arena, no one felt cheated leaving a Prince show, matter of fact his shows were life changing. Rest easy lil man, thanks for letting me ride.

He did what he came to do and he did leave. When you think about it a bit longer, and you see the age in his face during the piano concert, him knowing it was catching up, he left on a good note and a mystery.....two things that were definitely Prince! He is still with us in spirit...

A slept on gem
Jazmyne P. 3121 was my first Prince album. Never forget watching BETs top 20 countdown and seeing Black Sweat for the first time. It was so different and refreshing compared to the horrible music back in 2007
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels the same way. This should’ve been a MASSIVE album cause it was and still is amazing!
Oh yeah, easily in his top 10.
In addition to Prince, simply being cool AF, with all that swagger. It was Prince's guitar solos, and the way he makes it sing, which really made me really appreciate other blues guitarists, metal and rock bands. He still reigns as my favorite of all time though.

All I care to listen to for the rest of my life is real music. Im 28 and cant listen to non of the crap thats out right now. I'm also 28 (I know this comment is a few years old now), but I 1000% agree lol pop artists today are babies compared to Prince's level of musicianship, really at any point in his career. You can go back to For You, and the level of musicianship there is miles above what people are putting out today. It's embarrassing, honestly.

I remember back in 2008 as a 17 year old I really loved this song, but couldn’t find it on UA-cam as Prince wouldn’t allow it so had no option other than buying the whole 3121 album as (couldn’t even find it from file share sites). Till date its the only full album I purchased with my own money and its only down to Prince’s marketing strictness. Not only was prince the most talented he was also a man who didn’t tolerate sh!t.

Prince got the fire red suite with killer guitar tone, and the beautiful ladies shaking that back while singing. This is what makes Prince an awesome artist he understood the importance of the visuals as much as the sound.

You had the album, The Vegas Residency “Per4ming LIVE” at Rio Hotel & Casino, and to top it all off the greatest Super Bowl Halftime Show of ALL TIME!!!! He was at his very best during the “3121”/ “Planet Earth” eras, and the 2007 “Earth Tour” was incredible too at the o2 Arena! I just love the suped-up rock fusion arrangements of “If I Was Your Girlfriend,” “Anotherloverholenyohead” and “Pink Cashmere” from this era! He was on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nope. 80's Prince is something you can never process unless you experienced it and even then it is beyond words.
mediacenter man I said it was ONE of his greatest eras. Definitely not his greatest because that would be his “Lovesexy” era of 1988-89. Best album, concept, tour, staging and outfits. “Lovesexy” just has the best, best BEST! And nothing can compare.

@J Crash, now I didn't like Come too much but the rest you named was good to great! I've seen you across the board and you have stated numerously that you didn't like the 90s Prince. Personally my favorite album from the man is The Gold Experience, but in a way I respect your opinion. Most of his 90s catalog was overproduced, and didn't have that nasty, slick funky rock-pop flavor that he was so renowned for. To me he came back with The Rainbow Children (which turned many off by the overzealous religious lyrics and monotone voice speaking throughout the album) and got better with 3121 and hit the high on Planet Earth! Art Official Age to me was his last great album, and I consider it his last album, to be real. I HATED HitnRun: Phase One but I did very much enjoy Phase Two. Not an epic final chapter but, then again, he didn't begin his career astonishing with 1978's For You.

Prince was still putting out great music way beyond the major hits from the 1980s and 1990s. Here is a prime example from 2006!
I saw him a few times; in San Jose, Oakland, just as he had declared TAFKAP, he had his club going, and I got a couple CDs in the mail, then I went to buy tickets; he had a small army selling ticks to people in line. I was thinking the area concert was at; had pretty bad acoustics, but his sound stage was the most perfect sound I ever heard. 1 in 100 understands Prince, and what he gave us; flys right over most people's head, but not mine.
