Waqf is recognised in ISLAM. Why a hindu , Sikh Jain, christian and parsi would donate to Islamic God. If Muslim donates something to his god...he must show how he is the owner of it. But railway, parliament building and even suprme Court cannot be donated by any muslim.. unfortunately some muslims are saying these are on Waqf land. HOW STUPID IS THAT. something that undermines others right and restrict alienation of property is illegal and void process. Hence, Waqf must be abolished as it makes property inalienable forever.

Faizan sahab's knowledge of the law is deep and as a law teacher that is expected of him. But that does not mean that Mr. Sibal is biased. At the time, territory and resources were distributed to support this division, implying that land claims were addressed through that process. If Waqf deeds or donations were made during the time of a Muslim ruler or under a monarchy, their validity should be reconsidered. When India became a republic, it took control of properties previously owned by monarchies, nationalizing many of them. This raises questions about why certain historical Waqf deeds are still considered valid if other royal families cannot claim their former lands and properties. Essentially, post-independence nationalization should apply uniformly, which would challenge the standing of Waqf claims based on pre-republic deeds. This could open the door to similar claims by other former royal families, thus questioning the consistency of land ownership claims.
