Thankyou for such a well taught tutorial. Really fantastic content, expertly taught. Really like the way you break things down into chunks. Keep up the great work.10/10!
Sandra, you are the most wonderful Jazz guitar teacher, the best on the web. . I have learned so much from you in a relatively short time!!! Thank you.
Sencillamente impresionante, uno de mis temas favoritos, no sólo de Miles Davis sino del Bop en general, y como de costumbre una interpretación magnífica. Esta semana seré feliz practicando estos acordes. Muchísimas gracias Sandra!!
I don't really consider FOUR a bebop tune. It has quite a groovy melody with not too many notes. I like it, because of its catchy melody. Thank you, Salvador for your kind words. I like that you open up to different styles.
Excellent walkthrough and tabs, thank you! This is the third solo guitar version of Four I have tried, and your voicings and chord shapes make much more sense than tany I've seen - please do more!
Cool! Thanks for your kind words. I try to keep things as simple as possible, while still maintaining the jazz/bebop idiom and keep things interesting.
Thanks for this video! I'm so happy to find a woman that makes tutorials, since all is full of men. I'm a female guitar player and I wish there will be more of us. And moreover your video helps me playing Four in a Combo :D thankss!!
There are some very good female jazz players out there. Sheryl Bailey, Mimi Fox, Emily Remler (gone too soon). But generally yes, there are so many female singees comoared to instrumentalists. Glad you up the number of female guitarists 😊.
Gah-reetings! (That makes my week, every week!). 👍😄 Great tune, Sandra, and what a fun cover! Great job on this. We do some Miles Davis, I might see if our trumpet player might want to do this. It does have a great feel! Thanks, and be well!
Hi Barry, hope we had great lunch together 😊. Four is a time, that the a enjoys a lot. It's groovy and memorable. I always enjoyed playing it. I love standards, that have "kicks" (accents) in the arrangement.
Guitarversum Sandra Sherman I agree 100%... tunes with rhythmic character😉. I had dinner instead of lunch yesterday, due to an afternoon rehearsal - hah, with a trumpet player, in fact! Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks, my friend! Glad you like it. I'll look into that song. If it's suitable for chord melody and I can come up with a good and playable arrangement I'll do it.
Thanks Sandra ~ great lesson, you're the Best ! Downloaded and decided to try Guitar Pro free for 30 day since you have the files. Any chance you take requests? Thelonious Monk's "Round Midnight"... have the Real Jazz Fake Book score, but just can't figure out the fingering! As always, your lessons are Fab... Greetings from Seattle Washington :)
Thanks, Joseph! Guitar Pro is great for playing back the notation! It's also a great notation tool, but definitely has a learning curve. About Roubd Nidnight, I tried to arrange this 2 years ago and failed terribly, lol. I just couldn't come up with a playable version. I think it's about time to give it another shot 😊
Nice job on adding the chords to the melody! A question: how thick (centimeters or inches) is your Fusion III? I have one but it seems like it might be thinner than yours. Mine is 2.25 inches or abvout 5.71 centimetres. Thanks.
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Thanks - just a bit thicker. By the way I have a lot of information about HR at www.utstat.utoronto.ca/mikevans/hroberts.html
Thank you ❤️. I really love Dire Straits. They are the reason I make music. I was such a huge fan in my teens (still am). But I realky don't think "Your Latest Trick" fits into my jazz channel.

Ja! Heute habe ich mir endlich die nötige Zeit genommen und nun dann doch die etwas schwierigere Rhythmik im C-Teil hinbekommen. Danke!!!!
Sehr cool, gratuliere! 👏

How are you not more famous, great guitar playing, great editing and a great smile too!
Thanks Stephen! 🧡 I'm glad to teach people jazz in an easy and understandable way. I don't need to be famous 😊
You are fantastic. You have gained a new follower. Cheers from Florida, USA.
Hi and welcome to the channel and group of diligent lil jazz bees 🤗
Thank you Sandra. The arrangement in pdf is wonderful and I'm looking forward to many more.
Glad you like it, Tim! Enjoy the jazz ride :-)
Yes, I was waiting for a faster tune and you delivered...again. Thx!
I listen (sometimes) 😁
❤️How can you be SO knowledgeable at such a young age !?!? You’re Phenomenal ! Gary/Colorado ❤️
Hehe, thank you for the "young age" 😁. I'm almost 50 😱
First time I ever heard that tune! What a lovely melody ❤! How on earth do you remember all of these songs? I'm amazed.... I need to practice more!
Hehe, I don't remember *all* of them. I arrange them, record them on video for you guys, then unfortunately forget 80% of them again :-)
Another great lesson from Sandra, An excellent job. Thanks!!!
Thanks, Eddy, yer the bestest 😘

Oh this is cool. Didn't know the song, but it sounds fantastic. Imma tell the guys in the band about it. This may be for us.
It's definitely a cool song to play live!
Nice! One of m'y favourite tracks that i've learned last year...(this year I love Ask me now from Monk)
I never would have guessed!! ♥️ Gary/Co.
Excellent! ❤️
Grrreeeetinggsss!!!!!😊
Really love your videos, so well presented. Any chance of the Neal Hefti gem, Girl Talk? It has such beautiful chord progressions. Best regards, Jimp
Yes maybe. Some people already requested it.
Yes, wonderful! I would like to suggest a chord melody of The Lady Wants To Know by Michael Franks. It is a beautifully crafted song.
Thanks, my friend! Glad you like it. I'll look into that song. If it's suitable for chord melody and I can come up with a good and playable arrangement I'll do it.

You paid for my coffee this morning 😊. Thanks, my friend! ❤️
Niiiceee!
When you put a % in the chord progression notation on screen what does that mean?
Repeat the previous bar!
Yes, like Christof said. Repeat the chord of the previous bar.
If you keep losing weight you’re going to disappear. Looking great and sounding great as always.
Hehe, thanks 😊
Are you from Switzerland?
😂 kam gerade von dem Video über Minor Swing
Groovt auch 😊
