Report from the Haight Ashbury, the center of the new hippie movement

This is the new avant-garde left bank area of San Francisco which has evolved over the past number of years, the last 18 months has seen tremendous increase of so-called hippies who have invaded and live in this area.

Morphed into the excessive consumption and greed of the materialistic 80’s
Hippies, morphed into Yippies?
Why?
“I owe, I owe, it’s off to work I go”.
Kindness and generosity ran out.
ubiquitous license plates seen on barely running, rusting out cars.
Gotta pay the bills.

seems like i remember Bob Dylan receiving the Nobel prize and so did Barack Obama. a sharp stick in the eye to the old guard Nixonites.
