@@stephaniehanlin5961 I just had it done yesterday and they nummed my entire face. I only felt the needles when they were numbing me. After that I didn't feel a thing for the entire procedure. Today I feel fine. Like slight pain when I smile or touch my face but like 2/10. My face is 100% noticeably smoother! All the huge divots are gone and I had some noticeable scar lines when I smiled and they are gone too!
Did they add a filler or just subcision alone? How long did it take to see the results?

I just had this acne treatment today, is one the weirdest (not the most painful) experience in my life. I feel satisfied those fibers are cut, laser my face, and I can see and feel my face skin is better then before.

@@bluefabyfairy after the treatment is done, their maybe some blood in your face but that’s fine and my face muscle was in shock because it’s my first time, yes my face was so red, bunch of laser mark, and face was swollen. And now it’s been week and my face a is lot more better then before, my dermatologist told me the minimum of removing scars is 5 time treatments (1 treatment per month) so I got 4 treatments left lol
@@Marston687 wooww that is a lot 😔🥺. .. well I had TCA cross ( at Acne Clinic NYC ) everything was great my skin was getting better, until my 4 th treatment , the lady burned my face 😔she over applied tca , now instead of look better, my face is bad , more marks, brown and red spots is a nightmare. So the dermatologist suggest to do subsicion and fraxel laser, but iam so scared about the subsicion. Thank you so much to share your experience.

Dont worry I was so handsome back then before I got acne scars but now I loook ugly asf cuz of scars done lot of microneedling treatment but didnot see any result instead it make my skin more tightness no chubby cheeks left
I have my own share of acne and acne scars. But now I'm trying water fast. It suppose to restart your whole system and heal your body from inside out. I'm gonna focus on that now because all these things that are suggested here are just temporary. But healing from within it won't only heal your skin but your whole system as a preventative. i recomend subcission together with deoxycholic acid solution, i had many scars and lumps on my face caused by acne and silicone used as dermal filler, im undergoing subcisssions with deoxycholic acid solution every month for a year now and my face is now smother, slimer and thighter than it was ever im my whole life.

Frustrated because I don't like what filler does...I've heard filler can also migrate under the skin. I'd rather just do rounds of subcision but you run the risk of the tethers re-tethering.
Can a small amount of fat be used instead of dermal filler? I cut myself so badly and deeply on my arse that fat cells came out... left a deep atrophic scar that I hope can be treated with this method!

could this procedure work on a long chicken pox scar close to the eye or on the thin skin surrounding the eye?
Yes I have gotten subcision on my eyelid scary as hell but my dermatologist did it and it made a huge difference I have pictures I wish I can post

Actually fillers are not required. But it is given for satisfaction

How is your swelling now does it gone completely?
Yes the swelling subsides after a week or so, but I barely noticed much improvement. The pitted scar is still there.

How much pain does one feel? Cuz this was dome to someone I know and I was there. It was very very painful for them.
They only gave superficial layer anesthesia.

Please please please help. So I’ve gotten 2 subcision treatments with no filler. But I’m not so sure I’m seeing results, if I don’t hear the cutting sound of the scars is that bad?? I have bruising from the treatment but I’m not sure that means it’s working. I know subcision isn’t for everybody I just want to know if I should keep trying or not

@@AN-xs7dw I had Fractional C02 Laser. It helped minimize a scar I had when I was a child. It's almost gone. it fixes scars. It helped with skin texture. it sounds like your scar is more superficial (Closer to the surface).

I’ve had about 4 sessions of subcision and every time about a week after the area is “sunken in” or “depressed” again. Can someone please give their thoughts as to why ?
I had 4 sessions of subcision. After 1 week, it collapses again as before, I think it is necessary to add filler along with the subcision. Did you have fillers?

In Australia it isn’t entirely. There are some Medicare rebates for severe scar treatments.

Is the effect of dermal filler permanent or do you have to do it every once a while?
It may require re-treatment every few years. The main goal of using dermal filler initially is to help prevent re-tethering which can occur immediately after subcision. Severe acne often causes an inflammatory loss of fat from areas most affected. This can lead to a hollow look (most commonly in the cheek region). Dermal filler is the safest, most reliable way to replace this lost fat.
@@Drmassive2 Thank you for clarifying! I heard that air derm is very similar to subcision and it can inject collagen which can last for a month or so. Which dermal filler were you referring to that can last for a few years?

Except that filler will dissolve& this is a temporary solution. Conveniently left that very important part out 😂.
Ladies& gentlemen: please be advised, doing this is only a temporary solution& the filler WILL migrate to other areas of your face or body which can cause issues later down the line.
A smarter solution may be to consider Subcision w/PRP treatments,
Subcision+ laser e.g. Morpheus, or the best option, the ultimate, imo;
Subcision w/fat transfer (it's not that expensive around 1,500-3k for the face) I live in PA, (Pittsburgh)
Why it's the BEST option imo: It's a forever investment in yourself, you're using your own fat so it's safe& def. much safer than fillers because tou don't have to worry about migration of product or autoimmune issues.
You're saving $$$$ by not having to spend it on getting filler over& over again to keep up the depressed spot/s over the months& years. So I think the fat transfer is ultimately the best way to go if you have the resources to do it.

Stop giving advice on something you have zero understand of. Filler is used to prevent re-tethering as a spacer. Fat grafting is extreme and unnecessary save only for the most severe levels of atrophy. Everyone doesn’t need grafting.
@ShittyMcPoopyBalls ur right. Everything doesn't need fat transfer. However, if you have serious Atrophy- then that's what the best& most permanent option is.
How do I know? I have had both. Perhaps for you, you don't or wouldn't mind having to get filler replaced long term. But I did. And the weird in-between phase where there is enough filler but you can start to see the depression again... just not ideal solution.
I'm not sure why ur so angry. I'm giving you personal first hand experience. Perhaps I should have mentioned that. But it was something that my INJECTORS didn't tell me about- that fat transfer would be the permanent solution to the problem I had. Why? Because they didn't offer that service in their office. So, they continued to do their best with what services THEY HAD. However, was it the best option for me? NO.
I got a second opinion at the best place in our area. He gave me his recommendation along with his team.
Then, I went to a less expensive doctor to get the exact thing recommended by the best guy in town. Why? Because it saved me 2k. Of course, they agreed with the same recommendation& were fully vetted with tons of great reviews.
So that's Mt experience. If you like to get filler. Go for it. I did it until I saved enough $$ to get the permanent solution.
@@MiaTuzlic fat transfer is a last resort. Fillers are the preferred starting point as it gives your skin a chance to generate its own new collagen. Skipping straight to fat is risky. Your suggestion is essentially the equivalent of saying “don’t diet & exercise, just get liposuction and implants.”

Didn't make any difference. My skin texture is the same but it made me so puffy and felt weird with the sound of my skin snapping. I wouldn't recommend.
