I just got this done. The doctor cleansed my face first, followed with anaesthetic so I won't feel the pain. Just to be honest with anyone who is looking to have a subsicion done for deep acne scarring, it may be a bit brutal/uncomfortable if you're not used to having any minor surgeries done to your face. However the result is amazing. I already see a huge improvement in my skin this is better than skin needling. Going for a second treatment next month 😊 Very happy customer

The doctor who performed the subsicion for me injected my face 3 times on the left side and 3 on the right so you'll have a few red dots on your face for a few days but it didn't bother me much

For deeper ice pick scars I sometimes recommend surgical reconstruction such as excision but this is dependent on patient assessment. When choosing a doctor they must be experienced in both surgical and non surgical techniques 🙏
@@onedayapp3534 the main benefit is that the area is already anaesthetised and the ablative laser treatment will be relatively painless. It’s helpful to do at the same time as you can take advantage of enhanced wound healing with a combination treatment. I do like to perform hyperdilute radiesse after subcision it enhances collagen and elastin production and reduces the risk of recurrence post subcision.

This procedure does irreparable damage to the underlying face structure. I had this 1 time only by the "expert" Dr. Henningsen (Denmark) with an 18G cannula. My face is botched permanently. Never seen my face and smile again. Think VERY WISELY if youre willing to sacrifice your actual face for a bit improved skin. Cause if i could go back...I would in a heartbeat
@karolisurbonas3562 weird feeling when smiling (feels unnatural and heavy) and also my face shape (very bottom heavy.....face went from skinny oval to undefined/uncontoured pear shape) just changed to the point where it gave me self perception issues and aged me / made me a lot more unattractive. If you're decently attractive you only have to lose with this stupid invasive treatment.

This treatment needs to be stopped. It ruins young peoples faces. My face has never been the same again. Its so saggy and bottom heavy now (looking masculine and aged) and has a less defined jawline than before. Makes me sadder than the scars did...
This is more due to inappropriate patient selection and over aggressive subcision with sharper instruments. Blunt subcision is safe in the right hands 🙏
@@DrsomjiskinI had it done under a single scar in the area diagonally below the mouth that fat pad of the cheek that goes from nose to mouth and defines where your cheek meets mouth/chin. I still have swelling or weird looking after 4 months. This side of my face/cheek now looks different and has a fold coming out of the edge of my mouth whereas before it wasn’t, before I had a vertical bit of fat if that makes sense. Now it just seems like one blob
The scar itself looks better but the surrounding structure of the edge of mouth/cheek/chin area is different and somehow loose looking if that makes sense. Will it return to normal?
@@Drsomjiskin my surgeon is experienced and board certified so what are the chances he did that vs its just swelling? I asked him and he said there is no way he went that deep. The weird shape/structure I'm seeing could just be a result of the swelling which I hope it is but I'm not sure how the skin could regain its elasticity it looks loose and droopy if that makes sense whereas before it was a fatty area of the face if that makes sense
its hard to articulate because I never intensely studied that part of my face before as it was just symmetrical to the other side. But now if you compare it to the other side it looks way more droopy.

I would go back to your doctor for inspection of the area. Generally subcision is not advised if an area is still has inflammation. All scars which are tethered are amenable to subcision

It depends on the patient and severity most of the effects of subcision are permanent. In a large survey of acne scarring patients subcision was given a satisfaction rating of greater than 80% so it’s one of the better treatments 🙏

Unfortunately it doesn’t work for a festoon. They do respond to radiofrequency microneedling. Dermal fillers makes festoons worse.

I believe they dont treat you if you have active acne. Because the treatment is focused on treating the scars. You need to treat active acne first

No it is not normal to need 6-12 sessions of subcision. Generally 3/4 sessions max before moving onto resurfacing treatments

After four days of subcision i feel small bumps on cheeks

No this is dissecting the bands underneath. Punch elevation involves a circular incision through the skin down to the bands
