Had they controlled the eastern bank of both cities Russia would have such a strong defensive position they'd be almost impossible to dislodge. But from their current position, Ukraine doesn't even need to force a river crossing. It can just cut the rail line at Melitopol and from there destroy the Kerch bridge. After that, it's just a matter of waiting for the Russians to get tired of dying.

Probably won't even attempt it. Because Russia wasted its time reducing Mariupol for a propaganda victory, they failed to take the more important cities of Zaporizhya and Dnipro. Had they controlled the eastern bank of both cities Russia would have such a strong defensive position they'd be almost impossible to dislodge. But from their current position, Ukraine doesn't even need to force a river crossing. It can just cut the rail line at Melitopol and from there destroy the Kerch bridge. After that, it's just a matter of waiting for the Russians to get tired of dying.

@@dhjijejd6980 idk with them tbh cause if i was the commander i would have pulled out of kherson a long time ago and blow up the bridge abd even bomb the kherson city and just focus around donesk, cause i already nee this will happen idk why they didn't think of that all they had to do was to go around thr dnipro defense line instead of piercing through the heavily armed fortress, or better yet just push in from the north east not kiev, just open a second front north east then push south while doing that dont ever take kiev just arty it into submission and while that's happening encircle the Ukraine forces down south then boom u basically won the war by destroying 75% of ukriane forces down south. Cause they really could have total mobilize before the war and during feb not rn cause doing it now is not s good idea it'll make it look weak and loosing the war to ur people i would have done that much early.

Russia had hundreds of options for how everything was done much better, but that's what is tormented when you are fighting not for the sake of the military, but for the sake of political goals, while underestimating your enemy, but now it's too late to do something for Russia every day there is less and less chance of winning
@@dhjijejd6980 yup its there stupid pride and ego got to them instead of thinking every possible outcomes and thinking about any back up plans like bruh the solution was so obvious when they withdrawed from kiev if i was them they should've just focused all their forces down south or do a systematic approach and focus on the eastern ukriane first before the capital and just bomb and arty the capital to submission its that simple they had the advantage in the first half. Tbh i thought that was there plan until they start rushing the capital kiev and leaving there flanks exposed. Stupid Russians damn.
