You can use an exacto knife to score the finish where it meets the nut…prevents cracking
I don't even use wood glue on a nut. I run the underside of it along an Elmer's glue stick. Just enough to hold the nut in place. I put a capo on it while it dries.

Thanks for watching!
could you provide a link to where you purchased the parts ? Thanks -- enjoyed the video. Heard these are great guitars if you get rid of the plastic.

Try fossilized tusk.
How do you size the pins? I traded my Epiphone (which looked like yours) on OrangeWood Oliver C, the OrangeWood doesn't hurt my thumb like the Epiphone. I'm an old guy with a bad thumb. My thumb is much happier with the trade. I do plan to go to Rosewood or Bone Pins soon but I like the sound and it's got plastic pins.
I added a link in the description to a UA-cam on how to measure the bridge pins
@@DanaGrant I missed that, saw the pins on your Amazon link. The OrangeWood has very thin pins, I have reamed the hole larger before on a guitar.
I just added it for you.@@flouisbailey
Where did you get the saddle, nut, and pin package from?

Dana put it in the description.
bone bridge pins
I understand the bridge , but the nut has always eluded me, it has a effect only on chords played at the top of the neck and possibly when play leadsinglenotes
Thanks for your comments. I think bone nut helps transfer the string vibration. I just know that for example a metal or brass nut sounds more high pitch and a bone nut sounds mellow to me and that was the tone I was going for with a blues box.
It’s a personal choice but hard to prove.
A hot pin reveals plastic, but you can smell it if its bone, smells like burned hair.
need bone pins.
Believe it or not. I spoke to a custom Guitar builder who builds guitars starting at $40,000. He said wood pins are the best to conduct sound.
I put bone pins on a guitar to make it sound brighter, wood pins for a mellow sound of an otherwise bright guitar, depending on the frequencies that need supporting.
I have zero qualifications but tremendous opinions.
Thanks I was going for that mellow blues sound.@@jameslifetimelearner

Elmer's glue?
No, It's wood glue in a Elmer's bottle. Just a smaller bottle. Easer to work with. Thanks
