Just a little fun fact about the circular beds, they were used for reposition patients with neck and spinal injuries. Not sure if you knew that lol. I love watching old asylums and hospitals that are almost untouched, in my country Sweden everything is just smashed to hell or demolished. And those places you can still visit are just empty, not even a bed once in some sadly :)

At the end, it sounds as if you're saying the facility closed in the 60s after desegregation. It actually closed in 2012, though clearly many of the buildings were left to rot before that.
