WRC 2003 certainly is the last of the great season in my opinion, that season was the year where veteran's races junior's....you got Didier Auriol, Carlos Sainz, Tommi Makinen, Colin McRae, Richard Burns and Marcus Gronholm battling against young Petter Solberg, Francois Duval, Sebastien Loeb, Markko Martin and Mikko Hirvonen

It isn’t just Richard, but there are two other people in this video who were taken away from us not long after: Colin McRae and Michael Park, Co-driver to Markko Märtin (23:22). Co-drivers rarely get any exposure in media and I was glad to see and hear him in a rare interview. R.I.P.

    Richard Burns last rally 😢
Edit : it’s such a shame that his career ended in a retirement.

I know it's such a shame to end your career like that although of course he and everyone wasn't to know it would be the last time he was in a rally. You also have to wonder how long his brain tumor affected his prior performances as well as his rallies before Spain weren't great. RIP Richard who was a fantastic driver and a great overall package for any team and was good on any surface.

I realize it is pretty randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to watch new tv shows online ?

@@AmanAli-dc1sy Quite funny to think he led the championship for well over half the season, despite never getting a win and almost anonymously finishing on the podium most rallies. Liek you say, maybe a theory, but his performances on those last tarmac rallies were so bad that it was impossible to understand how (till we found out the illness) he was so off the pace in the very same car that allowed him to easily get podiums on these very same events just the previous year (even if the field closed up, the 206 never got slower).

It's such a shame this was Richard's last rally. With hindsight, you can see he wasn't himself here.

@@AmanAli-dc1sy The Peugeots were off the pace on the 3 tarmac rounds when it was dry anyways

@@classicsportclassictiyl8547 I am not 100% sure on that in Germany they were competitive think Gronholm finished only 3 seconds behind Loeb and would have won it without a mistake that cost him. But yeah the 206 was getting outdated at this point.

@@classicsportclassictiyl8547 Yeah for sure and shame the 307 didn't turn out to be that great in comparison to the 206.

To this day a set of Pirelli's will perform like champs when it's wet but the second it's dry prepare for a rough, nervous ride......at 40 mph.

Richard Burns, Loeb and McRae could have a rally video game... but the best rally driver ever is Carlos Sainz. With or without video game
    💪🏼

There's also Tommi Makinen's game on the PS1, but Carlos certainly deserved one!
