obviously you are a real Broads lover like myself, nice to see your shots as you cruise along. I have some very happy memories of Norfolk over the years since 1962, my boys grew up wanting nothing more than another boating holiday. Eric the warden at How Hill took the boys out collecting the reeds, when they came back, even at the age of eleven were so in awe of Eric, sadly he has now decided to retire, he will be sorely missed, what a character. Many a happy night at the Broads Angler at Gays Staithe where we enjoyed great local entertainment like Keith Skipper, another of the Broadland characters.
Where are you in this magnific video , Paul ? You always show up but not this time . I was very pleased to meet your lovely mummy and your friend Anne. Majestic videos 20 years ago !💖
The problem was with the Beatles Yesterday at the end. Paul McCartney needs the money. I erased it and will redo it. There will be gaps in the music but I will do it is the. Next couple of weeks. Glad you liked it. Thanks for the "voice" comments I have done a lot of v/o commercial stuff, must check out
Almost like being there - so much so I nearly fell off your boat a couple of times. I have done so in the past, my most memorable time at Ranworth where we also , by accident , put an elderly gent overboard from his boat ! Fun Times. Thanks for the memories
Thanks John, if you haven't seen the other three Broads videos I did be sure to see them at www.Xscion.org. The good news for me is that I plan a May excursion to the Broads to shoot in 4K. Can't wait!
Hi Paul, I loved your Norfolk Broads film so much, beautifully shot, and really interesting narration. I watch them at least once a month, I also visit the broads about twice a year. I know you have been a number of times, so I am trying to encourage you to post your other broads visits here. I also enjoy your India ones, which I have also visited a few times. Thank you so much for making such great viewing.
Brilliant snapshot of the broads! I used to holiday there with my mum and dad, I seem to remember we booked houseboats with "Blakes" and " Hoseasons" i think at Wroxham. Great times Thanks for posting
Great video! Takes me back to my childhood of the 80s/early 90s - we'd always have a week on the Broads every year, taking a very similar trip to yours. I have video footage that I took in 1993, that was a labour of love at the time, using a separate video camera and an enormous "portable" toploading VHS recorder. That was a struggle getting that to the top of Ranworth church tower I can tell you... ;)
I've enjoyed a relaxing journey with you all without getting sea-sick. Thanks for sharing. The section with the marshman was unique - we have nothing like this in Australia, so I found it fascinating to watch the beauty of the Norfolk Broads.
Jill Marley ThanksJill, I will film it in 4K early next month! Love Oz! I have footage of Queensland I need to edit! www.xscion.org for all the films. Enjoy!
Thanks Simon, I have another ready to post, it will go up in the next few days, interesting shots of the water vole and Eric Edwards. If you are subscribed you'll get the email notification. I look at the DV films and compare to the 4k camera I am using now and tend to think the quality is not good enough, but it's ok I suppose, and we can see the Broads 15 years ago!
Can play it today, excellent, Have you heard of Kenny Salwey..?? Your narration sounds really like his, I have been a fan of him for years, I like his calm persona while narrating, you are very alike, great vids
Thanks lisa have missed the Norfolk Bridge. It’s been six years now since I was down there but you bring life back for me thank you again Elisa Kevin Bayliss
