I've got a Pajero iO and I'm slowly building it up on a students budget. Still has a lot of work to put into it, but it's already come a long way! Love this lifestyle, love this show and farout, I love 4wds!!
Nice to see the Dirty 30 back up and running in such short time. I've just finished a 7 year rebuild of a 2005 79 series with the FTE motor. The 79 was a write-off so we built a special using the 79 chassis, motor and box. Added 80 series axles with lockers and grafted a 1947 Dodge Power Wagon cab, bonnet and guards on to the 79 series floor pan. It looks like a 47 but goes like an 05. Very easy to find in the car park. Cheers.
There should be a Government health warning about Shauno as he's so bloody infectious and with the new Dirty 30 he'll be like an epidemic! All joking apart great build series and presentation I was almost as chuffed as Shauno when the engine fired up. I want to see it drive now 👍👍👍👍👍

Don’t get me wrong, I love the 80 series Land Cruisers but nothing beats a Land Rover. I’m 17 and currently own a 1989 Land Rover 110 Perentie (Ex-Military) and absolutely love the truck. Lots of work has been done to her and lots more to go but it’s working progress. Love you Shauno and can’t wait to see her on the tracks.
Man I love this build so much. I'm a Toyota nut myself. I know how long builds can take took me about 5 years to put a quad cam 1uz Lexus V8 into my Toyota Cressida. Wiring and the link ecu install took a year. Converting it to manual took a while since both the Lexus and the Cressida never came manual. But I know the smile you had of the first turn. And unless you've been through the tuff times of almost giving up. People telling you it's not worth. Company's stuffing you around. And then finally hearing it for the first time.... I know that smile mate. Perseverance pays off. And it something money never buys. Congratulations on the build might have to build a tuff truck for my next project. That FTE sounds so damn good
Loved how happy Shauno was to have it start and then get those 40 series badges! Great work guys. I’ve just bought a 60 series myself with a bit of work needed so let the build begin!
I’ve got a 02 Pajero 3.2 DID with over 400,000km I brought six months ago for $4500. Since buying it I’ve removed the complete EGR system, removed the cat, removed inlet butterfly, added a turbosmart dual stage boost controller, ecu chip, tints, maxxis 980’s all round, snorkel, custom oil catch can, Kinugawa hybrid turbo with 15T compressor wheel, modified front bash plate to direct twice as much air into intercooler, inlet manifold clean and boost egt and temperature gauges and raw shock absorbers and have just ordered a K&N. These engines (4m41) are quite reliable and strong and the mods have made a lot of difference in power the truck pulls really hard and spins up the Maxxis tyres in a straight line in the wet. High boost is currently set at 22psi and I’ve timed it 0-100kph in 10 seconds flat which doesn’t sound that great but is much better than the 14sec from factory. Engine still burns zero oil and catch can only has about three tablespoons of oil in it between services. Future mods are pillar gauge mount, custom dump pipe, intercooler upgrade and Synergy chip fuel controller from Ron in the UK which will manipulate the map sensor signal to prevent it going in over boost limp mode so I can up the boost to 29psi. I know the Pajero isn’t as good as a Land Cruiser but they’re a lot cheaper here in NZ and a bit underrated in my opinion. Just thought I’d share that with you.
The dirty 30 is coming to life and I’m so happy to see one of the videos with the dirty 30 in one because that video will be so good because the smile on your face will be so big it’s going to be funny to look at your face when u are trying not to smile

Always wished I could have a vehicle built in Australia. Traveled there in the military and truly appreciated the car in craftsmanship and honestly. Surprised you all opt for sorted auto transmissions and here we opt for manual off road. Similar tuff tracks and long journeys. I only have manual transmission vehicles but understand the why behind why so many drivers choose Autotrans.

Now I love my patrols, but this thing is the best looking cruiser around by far!
Jaiden and I are working on our '96 Hilux single cab, to take us to the tip of Aus. We have been slowly making in clean and now we are on the home stretch. ( if you can really ever say that ahaha) We live in Cairns, so in prime country for it. :) 4WD supercentre Delivery driver loves our house, always a chat about the new mods being made....
good stuff, Shano you're enthusiasm is contagious.
Unreal build guys can’t wait for the finish! We aren’t (building) haha but doing up our brand new Nissan Y62 Patrol 35s 2 inch lift twin locked it’s going to be good! Just want to add we have watched your videos for years and inspired us to do cape York! Also for us to make our own UA-cam videos. at the end of each series you guys say might see you here or around the track. We stayed at bramwell station with you guys this year and when we started the telegraph track you guys were at the servo! So yep we did see ya there haha. Thanks for the inspiration!
My 79 series Landcruiser has the 1HD-FTE motor, you are right on shauno when you say they are the best motor on the planet.
I am driving a lifted '91 Mazda MX-5. I plan on some day turning it in to an All wheel drive car or a 4X4. It is quite the journey so far. On the plus side, it is fun in the dunes and I haven't had to get pulled out yet lol
Bloody awesome mate, always a proud moment in a project when you get to hear it run. Not long now til we get that on trails! Epic!
That thing is absolutely awesome and those 40 emblems are the top of the heap bud so cool, my rigs just a 92 zook with 83 Toyota front axle 90 rear axle 91 4runner rear driveshaft cut down to fit 82 rear springs up front and calmini lift springs in back rolling on 35 bfg mud terrains. Keep up the good work guys awesome watching
Absolute animal of a truck great job guys, I drive a 2 door Jeep crd wrangler but I’m also a Toyota man
Hey Shaun I'm currently in the process of building a 1984 hj47 Ute with a 2h turbo and honestly watch the dirty 30 build mate what motivation good on ya mate keen to see the dirty 30 in action
Looking forward to the first offroading trip with this beast too!
Congratulations! Super happy for you Shauno! Well done to you and the team! That 30 sounds orgasmic!!!
The dirty 30 is looking great mate, given me heaps of inspiration for my 1982 Toyota blizzard build, keep the good work up 👍
Always wished I could have a vehicle built in Australia.
