great job! nice and practical. for the freq range where K>1 and still not stable, it's because of the Delta. But your best bet is to check the Miu factor (u factor). If Miu>1 you'll be sure it's stable
At last some thing valuable on amplifier designing out there.......thank you very much man for sharing this..... I have one request though.Kindly make a video on power amplifier design , complete tutorial if possible. It will help me a lot in my Bachelor Project. waiting for your response.Already subscribed.
Hi, sorry it was on private, I just made it public. You can view it now, it should be the file that says: ATF55143 . dds. Let me know if you got it! Thanks
For an LNA to be unconditionally stable, the stability circles must lie either totally enclose or totally outside the smith chart. Refer: Pozar, David M. Microwave Engineering, Pg. 566 Edit: Given, |S11|
could you please explain why do we need a dc feed inductor at the output of the transistor please , what is the exact role of this inductor since it is conected to the power suply , thanks ...
@@chrisv1459 Ok. I manually tested but not sure, I'm working in 128MHz and using ATF34143... One thing that I am in trouble with is that after getting in matlab, my input impedance is very high (3.5498e+02 - 3.0046e+02i) and the output is ok (60.6123 -20.8016i). Second, I am not sure that the noise and gain circles it is ok (it seem that they are coming from the Right side of the smith chart with the near edges). My GaCircle block is "GaCircle1=ga_circle(S,{19,20,21,22,23,24.3},51)" and my NSCircle is NsCircle1=ns_circle({0.05,0.09,0.21,0.58,1.04},0.013,0.98+j*0.03,4.32/50,51)". My final concerning is that my S11 is horrible (near 0dB) even with the shunt resistor. My circuit is stable and I'm not sure if I design the L-C matching circuit (not the transmission line or stub) can solve this s11 problem...
Super helpful bro! Because of you, I managed to pass my Microwave devices course ! I own you one brother!
Thank you so much, Chris, this video helped me a lot in learning how to design LNA. Great lecture

This is very helpful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This helped me do finish project.
thank you for the tutorial. very helpful
Hi Chris. Could you share the title of your book?
In the Derivation of the K factor there is an condition for the S Parameters (|s12|*|s21|)/(1-|s22|²)
Hello Chris, can you please share the ADS model of ATF-55143 ? the link to your giyhub isn't exist anymore...

yes, thank you. i'm not familiar with dds file so i'm trying to learn how to use it...
Thank you; this is really helpful!

Hello cris ,do you still have the design document?
What different between 2.4GHz and 3GHz
very helpful thanks!
How we can download the text u have shown pls give us the pdf

The inductor helps provide biasing for the transistor and also blocks any of the RF signal from leaking into the DC power line.
hi, thank for helpful video, i have a question that how did u get the noise figure NF in the graph?
I get "gamma2z" undefined, any help plz
Hi Chris could you please include the download link for ATF-55143 ads model? its not available anywhere.
The transistor is now obsolete and the manufacturer took this transistor off their website.
can you help to some problem in my project , please chris
How can I find the data for lower frequencies on de datasheet for the Nf, Gain, Sparam, etc?

@@chrisv1459 Actually I did the Smithchart match right now and S11 decreased to ~-7db...
Sir how software use?
good work chris :-)
Please tell me how to load this exemple under ADS? i copy it in the library?
Please help me, give the matlab coding, i will test for my homework
Please share your ppt
I wish you showed the whole code at one point.
Interesting.
