34:22 what a save... that was insane. great video as always, big fan of these onboard story videos!
Thank you FM!
Loving your onboard stories, it truly satisfies the inner geek in me! Keep them coming!
This was one of your best onboard stories Dave!
You have said quite a few times this year that the car setup felt the best it ever has, do you think that its connected to what you said about having so much time with the Ferrari over the past 5 years and feeling changes to the car like damper, arb, springs, and being able to give better feedback to your engineers?
P.S. You should let me moderate your streams so you don't spend half the time answering the same questions over and over ;D
Yea I definitely think I have 'clicked' with the car this year and it is helping me finding some speed. Thanks for watching Chesties :)
@@DavidPerel That's awesome mate! This video made me go back and watch some older onboard stories, it would be cool to do a comparison video like with Mugello and seeing where you improved etc.
Love these onboard sessions! 👍
Thank you Jim
Keep it coming!!! Thank you!
Will do mate :)
That's my observation.... you take more curb than the Audi did! That's weird! Good live story as always, always inspired me even I'm not going for a race driver but for another dream
Thank you for watching Marco!
amazing video and enthusiasm once again💪🏻
Thanks for watching Matt
@@DavidPerel i will be racing the italian gt in a couple years mark my words🤞🏻, just finished racing in the x30 senior iame world games in adria. Hope to get to your level at one point
David, I designed and built my rig using 30x60 aluminum profile using sound mechanical engineering principles because the flexure of commercial available rigs did not meet my requirements as evidenced in the MoTeC data. (I use a MoTeC L120 & Racelogic VBox HD2 in my IRL racing) A good solid rig can be made inexpensively with a fitted Tillett karting seat. I do 2-3hr stints in my rig. Reply if you would like to talk further.
Hey Todd, that's awesome man. My intention is to buy a Race Anywhere modular rig, they are producing really good stuff at the moment.
I like how you keep the excitement in these onboard stories by not spoilering too much
Edit: well easy to not spoiler if you don't remember some of the race 😅
Hope I can catch the next stream 👍
Cheers man, thanks for watching :)
Thanks for sharing this David, when you are talking to people that don't let you share footage remind them that some of us actually do not get to watch these things. People like you do so much for the promotion of the sport, it's short sighted not to provide you with material to show
They care about performance, not UA-cam views :) It is incredibly rare for a racing team to get new wealthy customers via a UA-cam video, so it's not a priority for them.
I agree with you that this is one of the best tracks… hope they bring it to ACC. :). Keep the great vids coming…
In order for it to be in ACC we need to see it in a GTWC race first :(
Best comparison I have ever heard; "the best payed GT driver's are probably like well payed dentists"
That green helmet looks absolutly fantastic! I dont think it would look as good if you would go as dark as british racing green anyway. Did you try a design with fatter SA flag colors?
Thank you :)
I couldn't join the stream , when you give feedback to the engineer do they tell you the changes they made ? I.e dampers ARB and all that
Sometimes they tell you, sometimes not :) It also depends on the engineer. My relationship with the engineer for this car is very good, we work closely together when doing the setup.
👍👍👏👏
