In this lesson, you will learn how to find the roots of a polynomial, which is also known as solving a polynomial equations when it is set equal to zero.
Physically, the roots of a polynomial just means that we are solving for the values of "x" where the polynomial is equal to zero. In most cases, there are two roots of quadratic polynomials. There can be cases, however, when the parabola just touches the x-axis tangentially, and in that case we have what is known as a double root at that location of the x-axis.

    Dear Teacher,
It's from my heart 💖, and let me boldly commend and recognize you on your style of imparting your math knowledge to the world of students. To be honest I’m one of the weirdos who enjoy math. Obviously only enjoy it if I understand. With your videos I’m pushing these limits, basically without effort. You explain much better than my uni book, I don’t even afraid of calculus. I only know some basics in that, but I feel your videos will help me through the tricky parts too.
