I have been an avid reader my entire life, probably reading between 50 to 75 books a year. After hearing your life story being raised poor in AL, I am not shocked to see this book on your shelf. Having parents who were raised dirt poor in middle TN, I can relate to this book. Funny how you feel you can relate to someone based on some bound paper on a shelf. Anyone raised in small town America in Southern states should read this book.

Remember that after completing an "internship" in the US State Department which her uncle arranged in order for her to earn the credits she needed to graduate from uni, she took and failed the exam to qualify for a job with the department. That exam is usually passed by people who have not done an internship and don't claim to have a degree in international relations, I dropped Netflix when they signed the contract with H&M. Compton is most famously mentioned by Dr Dre, boasting about being tough because he's "from the streets of Compton" in his top-10 hit single in the UK charts in 1999. World famous in fact.
No one in the UK had ever heard of Compton. The only article mentioning this was written by two American stringers who sold it to the paper.

I believe she’s difficult, which is probably why it was so easy to rewrite the narrative about the history of the brooch, but the facts remain: a blackamoor brooch is not a racist piece of jewelry and for the producers to write this story into their narrative to support the “racist behind every door” plot line was bad journalism at best and intentional deception at worst.
I've read several biographies about the RF, and apart from one or two second hand anecdotes/ stories about her -ist incidents, I've never hrard anything bad about Princess Michael of Kent, apart from her father was a member of the SS/ was a high ranking N-zi. That doesn't automatically make her a bad person.
