Damn nice work, I work at a furniture store & I have an over abundance of old bed frames, I have been repurposing a lot of them with the aid of my Arc welder. Thanks & Take Care
Great idea! I just finished a little project that I had to go but some 8 ft. pieces of 1.5" angle, totally forgetting that I have several old angle iron bed frames crammed into storage in the basement! I'll be digging them out and getting them prepped for my next project that needs some angle.
I made a car/truck hitch carrier, turned the angle into square tubing for my frame and reinforced it with just angle but I welded on plates of steel to the angle to seal everything up nice . And used crusher screen for my grate . Still deciding it I want railing on it or not . Railing always just gets in the way ... lol

Good use of an old bedframe.

Did you only spot weld or run a bead on the bed frame?
