Is the inside of those pods solid? What stops the intake sucking them in? I installed spring loaded pods on my 1290 adventure intake and they got sucked inside out, never went past the butterfly though.
Honestly, I don’t remember. But these are not cheap units. I believe they have a semi solid frame inside, but they definitely don’t get sucked into the butteryfly’s. This is a very common setup for these bikes.
Just bought this kit and found your video. Thanks for making it. Do you remember those two little plastic plugs that came with the bolts? Where do they go? Thanks again
It's one of the best purchases I've made for the bike. I bought it to keep me a little cooler on the hot beast, but it's actually very comfortable also. I can ride 8 - 10 hours a day on this seat cover with no issues. Love it!
Great video thanks! I recently installed this kit and the SAS removal setup for my 2017 1090 R. I noticed in your recent videos the 1290 R is not in them, did you sell it or trade for an 890 R? Your skills on the CABDR are incredible!
Sorry for the VERY late reply... must have forgot to reply 1 year ago. Yes! I absolutely recommend the cool seat cover! It's usually the first purchase for every bike I get and recently added it to my new Norden 901. Not only does it help with heat, it actually massively improves ride comfort! It more than doubles the time I can be on the bike riding for hours at a time.

Honestly, I don't remember if I even used them or not. I would recommend reaching out to Powercell.
@@ls6777 ok thanks
How is that cool seat cover? Would you recommend it?

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah... got rid of the 1290R last fall. Just have a Norden 901 now.
How's the intake noise?
No different than stock
Ahhhh that deep sigh…… we all know about
