    Dutch class 37's, RES class 47's & coaching stock in the Inter City 'swallow' livery. Top class!

    And yet years later, the 37's were bought back on to the Wherry push pull services again. Haha :D

      There's a lot of cranks working on the railway in the Anglia area, lots of strage engines would 'appear' at short notice due to some failure or other in the past and still it continues, happily!

    Another great video from the days when the railway just seemed to be better.

      Stabling class 86s in road 5A, RES locomotives on intercity trains and someone operating the platform crossover ground frame at Great Yarmouth! You are really spoiling us for operations to recreate on model railways!!

    What was the Headcode for the London to Great Yarmouth

    Why did 47739 go into the platform onto that train that had arrived from London, then go out, and then come back in again? 🙄 Oh I see, to let the 86 out, but why couldn't it have just waited for it to come off before wasting time with a double shunt?

      My guess would be that the original intention was to haul the complete Mk2 set to Gt Yaremouth but for whatever reason they wanted to have the 86 available on standby rather than DIT behind the 47 and the driver was not informed of this until he had shunted in ready to couple up and was told to let the 86 head out. Thats the only logical explanation I can think of.

  • @vincitveritas3872
    @vincitveritas3872 5 років тому

    Did they forget to take off 86 as Res 47 went into platform then out. Or was it shunt move?

    What's the bet that 37 012 has been long dead and now recycled in to other things like cars, washing machines, house hold appliances, well just about anything metal really
