- In this video, we'll be going over how you should be using UWORLD. In addition, we talk about whether or not it is necessary to score well, if it's worth the price, and what a few alternatives would be. While I am not the perfect use case, I used UWORLD for 3 months while studying for the MCAT this summer and I now want to reflect on what I think of it.
To be honest, a lot of people say UWORLD is the BEST resource for the MCAT, but I wanted to give my honest opinion on why it is not without downplaying its benefits. I hope this can be of benefit and leave a comment about your thoughts. Eat More Chikn.

As a person who constantly gets 80% on uworld, hearing that it's harder than the mcat makes me feel a bit better :)

Great job, probably gonna buy UWorld because of this video. I would suggest you turn down the music just a little bit, I can still hear you but music audio occasionally competes with the sound of your voice.

how many questions are there in UWorld per section overall? Like x # of biochemistry questions...?
1. Aamc 2. Nextstep 3. Uworld 4. Khan academy
depends. next step is not as good as uworld in terms of explanation and their CARS is not representative at all. My problem has always been CARS, so uworld fitted me better

Do you think UWorld is necessary to get 90th+ percentile on the MCAT? I'm tight on money and have been using Kaplan and KA thus far. I plan to include AAMC material next few weeks. Thank you for the great video!! Subscribed :)
i think its not necessary, but its nice to have one more third party thing. maybe blueprint if youre tighter on budget

I did after. If during content review u feel confident u can do it concurrently. If you feel lost I'd recommend against it
do you recommend getting uworld if the section i struggle with is CARS? i got 130/124/130/128 for my 1st take and im retaking again because of cars. im not canadian but i dont like the ugly one section down score

NS i heard is more unrepresentative for CARS! i have about 1.5 months left for my 2nd retake :( - ive been doing jw passages but i feel like their passages are either a hit or miss and i cant do AAMC again since i've completed all their materials and still have them fresh in mind

What about skipping content review entirely and doing Uworld questions and watching KA videos on everything that doesn't make sense
see that was my idea because my learning style is kinesthetic, I don't do well with just reading and trying to understand. I learn better by doing and finding answers along the way, but I don't know if it will work with MCAT
