I have Ohlins with Swift Springs on my S2000, and it is a game-changer. While the car is sensational from the factory, you know Honda compromised slightly when, under hard braking or a sudden directional change, you feel the car dive/lurch considerably. I do recommend opting for a square 10k or 12k spring rate over what the DFV kit provides out of the box (8k/10k). It offers such a delightfully predictable experience, unlike the stock dampers, which feel a bit vague once you start cornering hard enough. I took the car up slightly south of 140, and I couldn't believe how composed it felt. Slight trade in comfort for absolute confidence.

DFV is definitely worth it and I have them on e93 and se3p.
But I hate that it requires frequent service, which basically all coilover factories recommend.
So I now go to koni yellow on my S.

They don’t require frequent service. Ohlins recommends 60k kilometers if you want to keep the performance optimal.

What do the sakebomb mounting forks do? Are they necessary?

definitely not necessary but they essentially shorten the strut at the mounting points allowing the car to sit lower, while not affecting travel.
Here's the link for them that explains it better lol www.sakebombgarage.com/fpspec-ohlins-dfv-low-profile-mounting-fork-s2000/?srsltid=AfmBOop0WDPuqB36EvaYS2LjyX0s0A_1JH0dzFI5Ys7zSCcZanhKQZsl

You can get the rear end lower. Stock is already maxed out.

@proraceer07 Got mine yesterday, so it won't get low enough? 🤔 Do you have pictures how low it sits maxed out with ohlins cups?
