I came to my senses in Sept., but it wasn’t until Oct. that I was able to pay off my first card. It only gave me $67 to snowball into the next one, but it motivated me to put even more towards the next card. You’re doing great.

That's great! I found it has taken me awhile to reign in my spending but it's so worth it. I try to remind myself that once I get in a better place financially I can buy much more of the things I want. You got this!💜

It's overwhelming to see it all laid out, and the act of writing it all down really cements the situation. I know how crazy and impossible it feels, but I know you can do it! One suggestion that I personally took advantage of: I had a very high-balance, high-interest CC debt that I was able to transfer to a lower-interest personal loan through my local credit union. Not having to pay hundreds of dollars extra just to take care of the interest and attack the principle was a HUGE game changer. Sending you good vibes, just keep on keeping on! xx

Thank you so much for your feedback! Seeing it all written out is the hardest thing, it definitely made me face the situation I got myself into. I can't wait until its all gone and I will never get myself back into debt again.💕

When my husband was getting his masters, we racked up the CC debt to the tune of 50K. It took us 5 years of bouncing the balances from zero interest offers till we paid it all off. Those were the dark years, lol. Proud to say that we are totally debt free now (including the mortgage) and I'm still budgeting! It's hard work and sacrifice but so worth it. Keep going!

That may be true for some credit cards, but in my experience it takes a few years of non-use before they close it. They will also send out a reminder email or letter prior to closing it

Yes I have experienced this also with store cards from small businesses such as an appliance store, and a small home improvement store. A real shocker was when I hadn’t used Home Depot for over a year and went to use it and it was cancelled for non-activity😳and I don’t remember getting any advance notice. After a little while I started getting frequent offers for a Home Depot credit card🤪🧐

watching dave ramsey's channel is very inspirational. listening to callers explain their situations makes you feel like you're not alone. his advice, techniques and tough love is what we all need. remember "the borrower is slave to the lender". staying in debt is the elites' plan to keep us enslaved, stressed and broke.

    • @coffeeandcocktails1356

I totally agree. Watching his videos is what made me start to pay attention to my debt and want to pay it off. I can't wait to get to the point of BS7 and be able to live debt free and generously.
