South Africa is vulnerable to a lot of nasty and painful things. No one is safe. Only rich politician are safe and the painful part is, ordinary people will catch the fire if anything goes wrong. If terrorists attack occur or civil wars arise it will be heart breaking

Institute for Security Studies (ISS) and many others have long been warning that it’s not fit for purpose. “The failures of South Africa’s intelligence services and police, and the uninspiring performance of the military, reveal the absence of a coherent approach to national security. Each of these departments is in crisis. And those responsible for the judiciary, prisons and border management also face problems. Reasons include lack of vision, political interference and state capture, bad management, poor coordination, weak policy and insufficient accountability such as through Parliament.”
SSA under the likes of Fraser et al was reduced to a partisan political tool to deal with political enemies. You might well find somebody was paid to look away 🙈🙉🙊& recent election shake up might have disturbed existing arrangements or someone was not playing ball.

Why would you ask a professor for their input? Ask actual employees of security/intelligence in our country. These lecturers are out of touch with reality and live in the theoretical world. Academia and the real world are two different things. What information can she offer except an uninformed opinion any one of us can speculate on. At least ask an actual immigration attorney.

They entered "legally" with visas. They were to undergo "security" but not military training. The prof.needed to get her information correct before utterance on national TV.The private security industry employs 100s illegal foreign national who are armed with assault rifles and guns etc,so why not also arrest these foreign security guards and perhaps employed by reactionary securities etc.

New police minister must cool down and consult. He must plan his work, must have clear stategies to support his aims and objectives. The issue of Zimbabweans has been there before even the birth of Nelson Mandela. He can't fix it in one day. All security departments must work together in their endeavor to improve security matters in SA. However the minister of home affairs is reminded that as a developing country we need a certain of these Zimbabweans to remain in the country for cheap labour. We appreciate your efforts the new minister of Home Affairs.

Gvt officials are suspects in this case, remember last time Bhushiri of Malawi escaped via the airport, at one time the Guptas's plane landed at a military base and authorities pretended not to know anything. The minister of home affairs should focus on tightening security at airports and leave the issue Zimbos to Panyaza's team. The SA ports are porus.

It simply means we are so compromised that any formation can organise within against South Africa to fight South Africa. These people declared that they are to train on the use of weapons and they were allowed, and nobody bothered to check them. They are Libyans but applied from another country in a group they allowed in like diplomats.

Study visa? 😂 To study the art of war, perhaps, seeing that we ourselves are in a war zone makes sense. All jokes aside, our ports of entery and borders are a big joke. I dont know why we cry foul. We endorse leaders who want open borders, we endorse incompetence, we endorse corrupt activities, and We endorse chaos and anarchy. We endorse changing the Constitution, so what is all the fuss about, we endorse illegal activities. Unless those who love this country and not the money stand up and take action against this chaos, we will always hear stories like this.
