The Best Tag team in fishing! Glad to see you both on the beautiful water. Everytime I see those fish. It reminds me of The Tarpon in Florida. Love to see the the jump. Nothing but the best for you both. Shawn from the States. We are having a bit of a warm up here in Indiana this week high '50s. Yes, I will be out there chasing my dream PB bass. I am still on the Hunt! God Bless Mate.
good luck legend and thanks for tuning in, we would actually like a bit of a temp drop here as it is super hot making it tough to enjoy staying on the water all day. Enjoy the hunt
Hey, Hey, Hey, My favourite fishing couple, and my absolute favourite fish species. I love all fish, mostly all fishing formats, but i must say my absolute favourite is definitely casting lures for freshwater or saltwater Barramundi. Whether it be impoundment freshwater, natural freshwater waterways, creeks, rivers, billabongs or saltwater, creeks, rivers, headlands, coastal reefs, and rocks. Hell, i would fish for them in the bathtub if i could. So it is definitely my favourite time of the year, the open Barra season. For me, it means two things. The obvious foremost important thing to me is, legally being able to go fishing for and target Barramundi and secondly, unfortunately for myself having an illness that stops me a lot of the time from going fishing, Is having videos on UA-cam posted by brilliant fishermen like Dean and fisher ladies like cheeky and funny Jelena. Along with many others that make great videos also. This fills the void for when i am unwell, to a degree, it's not fishing but i kind of get the rush of capture also. Like you Dean, you would have caught countless hundreds of Barra, whether meter plus or sub-meter fish, and you still get a rush and a huge shot of adrenalin. You still get the shakes like myself and i would imagine every other person that catches a fish. This is so great to witness, that after all this time, all the fish you have caught, the fishing competitions you have fished here and internationally and won. The Championships you have won. And at the end of the day, you are still the same as us, you still love it, you still have the desire and drive and you still get the rush, the buzz, the shakes, the joy of catching that fish. To me, it is truly wonderful to witness. Thank both yourself and Jelena when she catches a fish for sharing those special moments. Also, Jelena, even if you're not catching fish, thanks for doing and saying funny things, you crack me up. Dean, i enjoyed the music in this video. Also, something i always notice and mean to comment on is damn, Jelena certainly keeps you fed and i notice always very healthy meals, containers with fish and salad or chicken and salad, wraps with whatever and salad. I watch your videos and end up hungry. Sorry a bit off-topic, but kind of goes hand in hand with other things like having your midgee /mozzie repellant put on by your lady. Your spoilt mate, what a legend fishing buddy. Happy birthday Jelena, a bit late sorry.Ok, enough of that stuff, now for the important part, the meat of this video. OMG, i love that new soft plastic. Silvies Clear, i have always been a fan of a clear-bodied lure, as long as the water is fairly clear and it has some form of flick /sparkle added to it to help distinguish more of its shape/form. They make for brilliant candidates for UV colour dips, under the chin or tail etc. I have a number of clear hard body lures with UV patterns and or Silver or Gold or other colour sparkle mixed in. And i have a good collection of custom soft plastic lures in clear with silver speckle flakes mixed in. I love the way they look in the water, the clear mixed in with a coloured sparkle but not too heavily dosed look brilliant. The lure kind of takes on the colour of the surroundings and the water colour and helps give it body along with the sparkles and give it its lines (my opinion only). Like i also mentioned they also make super prime candidates for a UV colour dip. I like to normally dip the tail and put a small amount under the chin also. (just my preference). But this is where things get really serious now!!!!!! How do i purchase them? And roughly how long until they are available? Sorry about the EPIC NOVEL length post, but i haven't done a post for a very long time. Thanks again for the video and GREAT job on the new lure SILVIES CLEAR, I love it. Kind Regards to both yourself and Jelena, Your mate, Dave.
hey legend, thanks for tuning in. Yes the way the clear and glitter absorbs the surrounding colours is great. Looks incredible in c;ear lakes like awoonga as well. I fished the harboutr the other night to test these lures and my knees were shaking after every fish. When i lose that i will quit fishing. On a side note i had to take some people to hook a barra at port douglas and they and myself had a blast, i quickly nutted out how to get them to bite and we caught heas of 90 plus cm fish! Worth a trip if you want to scrath that itch. Remember to still go around the bite times though. Just a thought, i know its not in the wild but it was fun. Very happy with the way this colour turned out and its cool they called it Silvis Clear. I blame Jelena for that name
They are available now mate and will be until they run out, i have no idea how many they got in. I assume it wasn't many as its always a test with a new lure size and colour. But can say they have been fishing amazingly well
Hi mate, thanks for the quick reply, who stocks them, or is it a case of checking local tackle stores to see who stocks and sells, or does MOTACKLE or similar have them in stock. What sizes are available @@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing
Yes i took my daughter there when she was 7 to catch her first Barra, she got an 87 cm Barra, was so much fun for her. Did they let you fish the big fish pond, the one with the meter and meter plus fish in it @@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing
