You can actually finish the 3rd mission with all the forces you get given. It is tough though, and required a ton of sweaty micro to get it to work. Hint: use the engineers to lay AP mines between the warehouse and the exit.
Yeah if I knew those survivors would be all I had in the next mission, I would have done it again to get a few more out. But it was still cool that I could beat the following mission with just a couple starting units.

Wish we had a movie or TV show set in this timeframe the one with sam worthington was okay but i don't feel like it explored enough.
