Cebuano here. As a high schooler in 1997, me and a couple of classmates were already tinkering with solid fuel rockets of our own design. With the absence of home internet, we could only research from encyclopedias in libraries. Our rockets were more like huge “kwitis” on steroids but we were happy they were even able to go up. This was even before October Sky came out in cinemas which was in 2000. Fast forward to today, watching those kids successfully launch Tala with all those guidance and recovery software and hardware really sent shivers down my spine with excitement and pride at these new generation adventurers. I never became a rocket scientist or even an astronaut but I did become an airline pilot which still takes me to the skies. I hope these kids never lose their passion for rocket science and will one day contribute to advancing the current Philippine Space Agency but if not, I hope they will be able to contribute their skills to the more known space admins.
Highschool din ako 1997 while everyone on the planet was already using Windows our computer subjects were still word Star and lotus because that was what the computer dealer sold to our school. Although me modern pc kami sa bahay nun 99% ng mga kaklase ko siguro wala.
One day you will see them working at NASA or SPACEX

Ang mga Weather Balloon nga umaabot ng 60KM ang taas pero hindi kayang mag launch ng satellte tapos etong 3 KM na rocket aambiyunin pang mag launch??? 160KM po ang minimum height ng mga satellite, 2.8% lang ang ang narating nila 🤣🤣🤣

Rocket outer design looks similar to Sidewinder...pwede itong gawin AAM or SAM like Chaparral if further developed for military applications...CONGRATS sa inyong tanan
That's true. The payload could be an explosive instead of the satellite. They must tie up with computer hardware engineers or electronics communication engineers to design a computerised remote control system for navigation of guided missiles using the satellites that they can launched earlier than the missile program. Probably seek permission to deconstruct some military equipments used by the AFP for research and development of this missile program.
