Oh wow my mum has been making this for years and I always wanted to learn how to do it just never got round to it. My mum adds some dried mango, some tamarind, sometimes a bit of coconut. Thanks for sharing the recipe, will make it someday and take it to mum to show her I can make too! 🤣🤣
Salaam sister, thank you for this recipe. Can you add anything else if you can't find raw mango? Also is the garlic at the end necessary? I don't remember having garlic in khata before 🤔
Yes u can use anything sour as a replacement for the mango like boroi or tetol. I personally think the garlic is essential as I learnt that the garlic makes the dish taste amazing but I’ve never tried it without garlic. You can try it without garlic though, and let me know how it tastes. Thank you for your support ❤️
❤️👍👌Thee are sesame seeds sister. This recipe is made with shelled/hulled sesame seeds. In the uk sesame seeds are available in both types hulled (without shell) which is off white and with shell which is brown. It happens sis, due to us not knowing the bangla word and the other not knowing the english word. We tend to describe things which we don't know the word for, there are many seeds that look the same. I made the exact same mistake when i first tried to make this, i got the recipe from my mother in law over the phone. My husband told me i have got the wrong seeds and thee are sesame seeds. Thank you for all your recipe sis.
I wanted this recipe since ages thanks for uploading I'll be making it soon

ইটা তিল নায় আফা। তিল ঐলো sesame seed. আপনার টা তিসি।
Yes, thee/thil/thir are sesame seeds. I can also see we are pronouncing the bangali word in slightly different.
Thank you dear sister
Salaam affa please can you right your titles in Sylheti-English transliteration as I believe we the people that eat your food are same as you
