    I bought the 2s. It works well on relatively clean windows. If the windows have a lot of dirt it slips. You can’t clean the belts on both sides as it only turns when in use. It only comes with 3 pads which you have to continuously clean after cleaning one window properly. Replacement mops are AU $20 each …expensive yes... I got around that by buying the cheaper mops for the 298 and punching holes in them using a 8mm leather punch.

    If the windows are too dirty, they need to be pre scrubbed with a brush and cleaning solution, squeegee off as good as you can. If there are slight marks left behind, a microfiber mop on the end of a extendable rod will get them off with using just distilled water sprayed on the mop.

    Nice review, only thing I missed was the time it takes to clean your window, could you let me know?
    And is the noise annoying or too loud?

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому +2

      Hi! I thought I did cover that, maybe I forgot to talk about it, as I certainly timed it lol.
      So the large floor to celing windows it took about 7 mins to do a full clean. Now bear in mind a lot of the time I do a double run, it's about 15 mins, then same again for the outside. So it's not bad, but not fast. Definitly something you want to do while you are at home doing other things.
      The noise is OK. If it is doing the outside or a different room it is no problem. I can happily work on a computer while it is on in the same room, but I wouldn't have it on and comfortable be able to watch TV. I'd say it's comparable to a washing machine on full spin.
      Hope that helps.

      Really wanted to open a business here in Canada window cleaning with only this robot but that is much too long to be taking to clean a window. Please let me know when it’s down to under 5 minutes totally clean aka double run. Thanks!

    Does it have chargeable batteries that I can use without power cord?

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  Рік тому +1

      Hi Amy, it doesn't It needs to be plugged in to be working. There is a battery on board, but that is just for protection in the event of a power failure. It will hod it's place for 20 mins before falling. you can't use it on battery power only. Hope that helps.

    is it handling non-rectangular windows any better than 268? How does have you seen any issues with positioning when the surface is not perfect e.g. one side tries to move faster than the orher one?

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Maciej, I have had no issues with positioning on frame, frameless windows or tiles, everything has been great so far. In regard to non-rectangular windows, I haven't had a chance to try this yet, so I'm afraid I'm unable to offer advice on that. If I get the opportunity, I will certainly see what it can do.

    Stay away from the Hobot 2S!
    It 100% does not work and we have been unable to return it.
    Tracks just slide on the window and moves sporadically.
    Extremely disappointed with this purchase and even more so with the lack of any customer service.

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому

      Interetsing. I haven't noticed this and have been using it for a while now. Have you tried cleaning the tracks? Sorry to hear you're having trouble reaching out to customer support, I haven't had any contact with them as I tend to buy my stuff either through Amazon (returning is always easy) or other thrird parties. The service is almost always better than when you buy direct.

    Do you use this for home walls, such as bedrooms???

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  Рік тому

      I don't. It depends on the material. If you have smooth, tiled walls then I don't see why you couldn't. I have painted walls, so I wouldn't want to do that. Hope that helps.

    Will it work on Laminated kitchen cupboards?

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому

      Hi Mark, great question. I don't think it will have any problem with attaching, but not sure about performance. I'll try and set up a test tomorrow and see how I get on! I'll be back.

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому

      Hey Mark - the answer is, it can but it's not very good at it. I found it kept geting stuck as it reaches the edges of the cupboards. It will clean, but it will also need supervision. It could be goof or high cupboards, but keep a ladder close incase it has an issue out of reach.

    For pads, are both sides usable? If yes, 3 pads can be used as 6 pads, right?

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Lia, good question, but sadly no. The microfiber pads are one-sided only. The reverse is for the velcro to stick to the robot.

    • @LewietheGreat
      @LewietheGreat 2 роки тому

      Buy the cheaper 298 pads and an 8mm leather punch. Punch holes in the correct places using the s2 pads as a template. Saves alot of money and time waiting to clean and dry pads.

    Have you used HOBOT388 ? What do you recomend ?

    • @littlerobotshop
      @littlerobotshop  2 роки тому

      Hey Radomir, I have not used the 388 directly, but I beleive it to be a good little cleaner. A couple of things to consider, the 2s is better for larger glass areas, on smaller windows and homes, it's probably a little overkill. Also, the extra pads are expensive at the moment. The best I can find are about $20 each, which when you consider you need a number of them, it adds up fast. So I guess mainly it comes down to budget vs amount of gass to be cleaned. Sorry I couldn't give you a direct answer, but as with everything it life, it depends.

    Well, since I'm too lazy to clean windows, or even to tell my wife to do it it's going to be better than just dirty windows 🪟.
