I really hopped that the long final cast on the last boss would have needed Tank-LB 2 to survive. I know they can`t do that for an Alliance-raid but it would fit soo well.

I just did Thaleia this week and it was nuts figuring things out. This series of 24 man raids have been so fun.
The mix of "wow, that mechanic is so cool" and "nooo, you're a bitch!" energy, sometimes from the same person about the same move, is peak XIV energy.
I'm so glad you guys genuinely enjoyed Thaleia. It was....frustrating....to hear Mr. Happy and his crew crapping on it and calling it terrible, simply because they picked up on the mechanics very quickly.

as someone who's first proper MMO was FFXI, i am EAGER to see what they do.
I hope a return of our Apprentice, Iroha, considering that the original FFXI collab in 14 ends with her thinking she's going to return to Vana'diel but she's actually stuck on Eorzea, and is supposed to be chillin'/wandering.
Getting such a good bit with Oschon as the final deity, as someone who picked Oschon to start, was vindicating. Hell yeah.
Loved this entire 24man series for lore and fights alike!

Nothing wrong with it. In fact, it's easily the best capstone ability out of all the healers. This is just the classic experienced player getting frustrated at a new player joke. I know Drak doesn't main sch, so I don't expect him to know the job well. Same goes for anyone in the game. @@starspeakerarts

Watching Drak not look around the arena for mechanics and then getting confused why there were more things to dodge is hurting my soul.

What i find interesting during 'The Whorl' why does Rhalgr and Oschon get special treatment to attack more than once unlike the other members of the Twelve? 2 destructive bolts and the giant fists for Rhalgr, and the climbing shot knockback into soaring minuet for Oschon
At least for Rhalgr, I think it makes some sense because he is literally The Destroyer. Oschon I have no explanation for. Perhaps it's to represent his more willful nature? That is, he's the only one of the Twelve who developed enough attachment to the modern day to want to linger, at least for a little while. So his personality shines through just a little more because his heart's desire is distinct from the others?
@@ZekeRaiden Possible, but it could also be that they had more, and then had to scale it back to have people actually survive. The average XIV player isn't as capable as, say, NEST.
there's probably no special reason for it, they just reused a older name for a stack which isn't really a mechanic and climbing shot is considered a combo into minuet, otherwise nald exaflares into minuet would be too easy

I don't know why but we had the same problem with queueing on Crystal with DPS just NOT showing up. Day 1 we ended up having to do party finder and we STILL had trouble filling on DPS. Most of us had to go DPS in order to queue. It was wild.

Had to record on my laptop and the highest quality it lets me record any audio is “DVD quality” instead of Studio. Trust me it was worse before I added filters in post lol

I'm so glad that the visuals and story in these raids make up, at least in part, for what have to be some of the biggest snooze fest fights i think I've ever seen

In one run I did, when the first boss does the tank buster line AoEs the tank of one of the other alliances decided to just run it through everyone (on purpose) and nearly caused a wipe. That person was patting themselves on the back for causing chaos (and their one or two friends they were in there with as well), while pretty much the entire rest of the raid paused to report him.
Moral of the story: Only do stuff like that when you're with friends.
A funny little thing was that when I ran this with my FC, almost all of us went in as caster types (minus our tanks of course), so we had to rely on the third alliance (which were a couple people we knew as well as a few randos) to interrupt the casts on the final trash pull. They weren't exactly on top of that, so we were either squeezing into tiny little slivers of safe spots or just trying to only get hit by one of the mechanics instead of all of them. XD

That arm-hand mechanic of the final boss... f'ing hate it -.- The entire raid is awesome but this one mechanic... makes me not want to play this raid - and I grinded out the other two for minions and music scrolls -.-
When I joined this raid and time to fight Llymlaen, almost everyone is blowing their kisses at her. I'm not sure about other data centers but players seem to simp more on her than Nophica, or it's just that easter

I can see why you couldn't find dps, such hostile healers I would be terrified. Will they rez/heal me or leave me to suffer😱? Rescue me into aoe😱?

Aglaia still remains top of this series for me. Thaleia's kinda disappointing, sadly.
Couldn't disagree more. Aglaia, was my least favorite. Both thematically and in terms of music.
Thaleia's Eulogia has my by far favorite alliance raid music, with Euphrosyne's base track and Menphina's theme close seconds.
Whilst I think that mechanics like Navigator's trident and all Thaliak's mechs outside math room phase could've been sped up by double to flow better. Every single fight has aoe tank busters to either kill people as tank yourself or kill them with rescue as a healer. Every alliance raid this expac were on the easy side, thematical significance matters all the more and Aglaia was the weakest one at that.
I fully agree they set up a strong theme and narrative with Aglaia but Thaleia was such a let down. The final boss only being one phase and just repeating all the previous mechanics was just such a let down. Also how easy thaleia was in comparison to Aglaia and Euphorsyne really made me disappointed
@FutayuriShironeko As far as my personal list goes - Day 1 Spectacle - Aglaia is the best and Thaleia is the worst. Really, the fight against the Wanderer was so lackluster that it ruins the entire raid for me.
All of the other fights are iconic though even if they are all very easy.

Please don't tell me Aglaia was harder... You could skip both Azeyma's arena nuke and Nald'thal's scales week 1 unlike Eulogia's ultimate that deals over 220k dmg over 12 hits, that healers at least cant be asleep for, unlike any of the other 11 fights, plus is heavy on movement Menphina is resident sleeper all the way if you wanna talk difficulty and has no "Ultimate" attack unlike Nald'Thal and Eulogia as comparison goes for last bosses.
Rhalgr has less movement than any boss in both Euphrosyne and Thaleia, Byregot aside from day 1 hammers is boring af, not saying Euphro and Thaleia has nailbiters, but still.
If you like Aglaia better, have your fill, just don't tell anyone that it was somehow more "difficult".@@SunChaoJun
