Jesse just getting upset about not having gap closer and the problems with level sync is such a mode, because I feel this way about Gunbreaker ALL THE TIME, an more people need to tell the devs that level sync just sucks when you don't have your full toolkit at 50.
Heh there really is no real reason gap closers should not be given before the first dungeon lol. Skill progression is something in this game. Fun video. I think I say a meme about that pog thing haha
On one hand I would LOVE love to be able to have my full kit unlocked permanently and then just scaled down based on the duty I'm in On the other hand, that would 100% lead to instances of "oh you're a X in our party and don't have X yet because you're not a high enough level? Get out" "AST that isn't 50 therefore doesn't have divination? Sorry, next" Not all the time, of course, but it would definitely happen, and I think CBU3 definitely wants to avoid that if they can help it
This is one of the exact reasons why Level Sync works the way it does. It's also because it doesn't matter HOW MUCH you scale down skills - if the skill is usable AT ALL, then you're automatically just explicitly better than someone else at the level the content was designed to be beaten, defeating the entire purpose of Level Sync to begin with (which is to put you on par with the duty and your peers within it). That's not to say that skills shouldn't be moved around so that you have your job's full identity by 50 at least (and all DPS having AoE by Sastasha) but not having the skills you aren't supposed to have at that level makes sense from a design perspective. iLvl inflation is already a big enough headache when making fights that try to be relevant into the future, now imagine Warrior having Bloodwhetting during Bahamut raids.
You know, with the ifrit memes, the general disdain for Corey, and their rivalry with Drak, Keaton and Rhaya really are a match made in heaven......... Minus the whole Rhaya being gay thing.
My group is trying to practice Ultimate Annihilation/suppression, but every time, IRL stuff happens and we have to skip or cut the raid short. I am cry.
Oh, god. I just thought about how someone translated a doujinshi into Australian slang/stereostypes or something, but as Twitch/Zoomer talk instead. As someone who avoids talking that way ever to avoid saying it "ironically" and then "oh shit, it's not ironic anymore", that sounds like it would be an incredibly painful thing to read-because I also just think it sounds dumb spoken.
as much as i agree with most things corey says man you can just walk to the safespot when ifirit shows up ik because i always did hahahah you just need to have confifidance on where you were going
So I know you guys do these things just for fun and don't really care about optimization too much, but this is one of those fights where if you optimize your damage well enough you can just skip mechanics. The group I cleared with literally doesn't know how to do Ifrit dashes correctly because we just held enough damage and pots through Garuda to burst him down before that mechanic happened. Edit: Specifically for UwU intentionally choosing to not using potions during prog, but then using them during "clear attempts" is going to mess things up more than some people realize. Cooldowns being in different places, gauges being higher/lower than you are expecting, its all going to effect your damage output further down the line than just the pot window due to how the fight works. Specifically it matters for Garuda and Ifrit, Titan onwards doesn't really matter since you wouldn't pot in those phases anyways and your not in danger of "overkilling" any adds which can't be said for the first two phases. It would legitimately be better to never pot in the first two phases than it is to randomly start potting a few weeks into prog.
Yeah, was more of a cooldown issue for us. We had to hold DPS without pots a LOT specifically not to skip Ifrit dashes. I'm pretty sure I included the reasons why we didn't in the video. Anyway, we've already cleared so now I'm just catching up on all the footage. Our optimization was fine :)
"I brought you back just so you can die again!"
Drak out here with the Seebass call-back.
I miss Seebass. I know he is gone for good reasons... but I still miss him.

Hans bribing Corey with Dragon Sight to not die
Beautiful
That "I'm gonna pog" bit fucking sent me, Drak.
Keaton continues to just be an absolute delight. It's also still great seeing Sonic back with the gang and having fun with everyone!
and here we learn 'searing wind' is not a debuff on one player, but a warning shot to the entire party
So they just become Corey i see
The group “h u h” to Rhaya’s carrot question cracks me up for some reason.
Not even 20 seconds in and I lost it at the carro-and the eggplant joke just hit...
At least they got their food discussion out BEFORE they were in the raid! :D
That moment of silence before Drak said it I knew that someone was going to say something. My money was on Drak or Hans .
0:13
The cacophony of 'huh' from some of the NEST members always get me.😂😂😂😂
Especially Hans' "ɥ n ɥ"
Oh dear God. That one just came outta nowhere.
Ifrit will *never* die. (but I certainly will and I'll take you all down with me) XD - The Squeaky Toy
For real though. This was amazing LOL The "again"s will forever echo in my soul :D
Keaton, your energy makes me lose my shit, like straight up pause the video cause i'm laughing too hard levels can't wait to see the rest of the fight
Nothing but love and support for the NEST Squeaky Toy!
Corey's distant scream omg 3:36
Glad to see Nest and Food will never not be a running joke.

i had to ACTUALLY pause the video at "i'm gonna pog" because i was crying so hard I couldn't see the screen due to laughing... holy shit
0:13 - The "Huh?"s holy crepe. I'm already dying LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Drak with the best timing. Time to watch while I eat.
Always love a good Seabass callback. The salty fish lives on in spirit!
Rhaya knows EXACTLY where they're putting the carrot
what a way to end the video XD Hans paying dues to Cory cuz he didnt want to die was hilarious, great vid!
"Auuhh!" -My attempt at random puffer fish noises.

Really need to bring back the Jesse Sighs Counter lol ^w^
Summoners vs Ifrit, the eternal battle. No matter the level, ifrit will fuck you over
It's Paladin's expansion and the payment for being the posterboy of Endwalker is that they got cursed.

Fun video. I think I say a meme about that pog thing haha
11:51 this exact moment seemed like Hans killed Drak and it was so funny xd
Now I wanna see all of them dressed as gnomes seeing how adorable Hans was despite death lol
ah yes the classic "they gave us everything and we still manage to fuck it up" smn struggles
But, do the eggplant and carrot count as a food conversation?
If you ever think to yourself "UWU can't be that bad; it's level 70 content"...
i am so waiting for UCOB Nest's Misadventures
I know it’s a nest video because I’m dying of laughter 🤣😂🤣
