This has really made me look at tea in a new light. Now when I see a puer cake I don't see the brand, the age, the color, I see all the hard work that went into making that cake, and now I am forever thankful.
Beautiful documentaries, even if they might not be news worthy they are amazing in their own light, I feel as though I know the family, and I was out on the mountains picking tea with them. I feel the struggle of the mother and her children as they work so hard to make their living.

I consume tea as if it's just a given thing. This documentary shows how much work is behind it. Especially for the poor women. Hard work for good food. A simple but unnerving truth behind such a delicacy. Thank you for your unfiltered report.

Drinking puer and hittin' the bong. What a life.

Do you find that the smoke dulls your palate? For stronger flavored food and drink it probably wouldn't matter, but for me, if I even eat anything before tea, sometimes I can't taste it as well.

Drinking puer and treating your wife like a slave is not the life. That poor woman has to care for all her children, and her daughter in law, and her husband AND has to do all the picking and post processing. I feel so sorry for her.

How difficult would it be to move to Yunnan and marry a tea farmer's daughter?
