The feelings on this scene are strong :( , i just loved how they both acted here. Nana reactioned like anyone of us if our very best friend where being betrayed in front of us. And i was very greatful that Hachiko wasn't like other anime girls that just doesn't care if the guy is cheating on her and starts a struggle to take him back. She just walked away knowing that she doesn't deserved such a thing. I just loved it so much. This is one of my favorite scenes. Sorry for the gramar mistakes, english isn't my mother language.

I hated how Junko treated Hachi as if she was somehow bad and at fault for not fighting for Shouji’s affection after she learned he was cheating. Like…no. He cheated. He betrayed her trust. Of course she would feel heartbroken and never want to see him again. Honestly, Nana would be very good if it ended with Nana and Hachi getting together themselves. I know Yazawa-san probably doesn’t have that in mind but, Nana seems like the best match for Hachiko, and she doesn’t have any other love-interests currently. I think the end of the manga implied that there’s a chance Takumi and Hachiko may separate, so I’m just holding on to that tiny chance and that Hachi and Nana might be a couple after all.

Honestly this scene is so powerful, it reminds me of a similar situation I went through where I was Hachiko, so I fully understand what she went through and what she says at the end is something I carry with me.

I remember when I saw this scene for the first time I felt my heart stopped cause it was so intense. Lots of stuff were intense and they capture it so realistic.
I actually expected Nana and Nana to be together in a relatioship at the end of it all. They would be such a great couple. But at the same time Iike how great friends they are and that they stick close together out of friendship. ...But I still ship them!
I highly doubt if Ai Yazawa ever finished the manga that she would have them end up together. The series never suggested such an outcome because their relationship is much deeper than even married lovers. Yes, there were some bi curious moments but those were for comedic relief (just like when Hachi and the audience/reader totally expected Nana and Yasu to become more than friends). In the manga, they flash forward several years into the future showing Hachi is basically a single parent, while Nana is still missing. The biggest evidence is when she explains to her daughter that the only way her and Takumi can resolve their issues (and become a family again) is if Nana returns.

I believe that Shoji was amused by the fact that 'imaginary' sachiko exists. Then the 'real' sachiko thought that Shoji liked her but in reality he didn't. Shoji being found out in this scene just shows he is afraid to correct his mistakes and went to sachiko's side leaving his real love behind. Let's note that Jun even said that Shoji is always going to her house just to express his thoughts that he thinks Nana doesn't like him. Also, Shoji really loves Nana by the fact that he cried and felt guilty during the time they're in a conversation of having some closure. Shoji doesn't have any choice but just to stick with Sachiko.

Some of you are saying it's Sachiko's fault. Others are saying it's Shoji's fault. However, when you really look at it, they are both equally at fault here for everything. Shoji, who was in a relationship with Nana, willingly went into another relationship with another girl. If Shoji were smart, he could have broke the relationship off when A) He knew was falling in love with Sachiko or B) When he knew he didn't like Nana anymore Well, why is it equally Sachiko's fault? Sachiko, who was well aware that Shoji was in a relationship, still had an affair with him. She knew that there was someone else, yet still chose to get into a relationship with Shoji. If Sachi were smart, she would have known to wait or to break off her feelings with him. Both of them equally caused Nana the hurt and both of them should be hit.
Yeah it was both of their fault. Shoji just leads her on even tho he had Nana as a gf. Sachiko still pursued him even tho she found out he had a gf. What was aggravating and disgusting is she used Reverse-Psychology and at the state of being weak to win him over. Dirty fucking play. They both had the same workplace and school so It was inevitable not ignoring each other. I seriously hate Sachiko, lol. I hate typical frail girls who are dependent to their men, and men finds that attractive.
Then Shoji caused the events currently happening with Nana. Seriously fucking messed up. He should have apologised early on or never betrayed her. He left an impression to her not to take into serious relationships and she became lost wanting someone to depend on.

The feelings on this scene are strong :( , i just loved how they both acted here. Nana reactioned like anyone of us if our very best friend where being betrayed in front of us. And i was very greatful that Hachiko wasn't like other anime girls that just doesn't care if the guy is cheating on her and starts a struggle to take him back. She just walked away knowing that she doesn't deserved such a thing. I just loved it so much. This is one of my favorite scenes. Sorry for the gramar mistakes, english isn't my mother language.

I hated how Junko treated Hachi as if she was somehow bad and at fault for not fighting for Shouji’s affection after she learned he was cheating. Like…no. He cheated. He betrayed her trust. Of course she would feel heartbroken and never want to see him again. Honestly, Nana would be very good if it ended with Nana and Hachi getting together themselves. I know Yazawa-san probably doesn’t have that in mind but, Nana seems like the best match for Hachiko, and she doesn’t have any other love-interests currently. I think the end of the manga implied that there’s a chance Takumi and Hachiko may separate, so I’m just holding on to that tiny chance and that Hachi and Nana might be a couple after all.

I highly doubt if Ai Yazawa ever finished the manga that she would have them end up together. The series never suggested such an outcome because their relationship is much deeper than even married lovers. Yes, there were some bi curious moments but those were for comedic relief (just like when Hachi and the audience/reader totally expected Nana and Yasu to become more than friends). In the manga, they flash forward several years into the future showing Hachi is basically a single parent, while Nana is still missing. The biggest evidence is when she explains to her daughter that the only way her and Takumi can resolve their issues (and become a family again) is if Nana returns.

I believe that Shoji was amused by the fact that 'imaginary' sachiko exists. Then the 'real' sachiko thought that Shoji liked her but in reality he didn't. Shoji being found out in this scene just shows he is afraid to correct his mistakes and went to sachiko's side leaving his real love behind. Let's note that Jun even said that Shoji is always going to her house just to express his thoughts that he thinks Nana doesn't like him. Also, Shoji really loves Nana by the fact that he cried and felt guilty during the time they're in a conversation of having some closure. Shoji doesn't have any choice but just to stick with Sachiko.
This scene was so messed up. I want to punch both Satchiko and Choji.
