omg thank you. fixing my brothers heavy weight seiko. he thinks it's too worn to save, i keep telling him the bitey clutch is just making it awful to use. he SHALL NOW THE TRUTH
Hi, just got a 1941 Singer 241-2 (for free!) and thought I would put a servo I have lying around on it, but it turns out the entire setup, the machine, the motor, the table, bobbin winder and switch box are original to 1941 and in great shape so now I don't want to separate them. I will be trying this cleaning method to get the clutch to slip nicely again. Thanks for making this video!
Update: this worked great! It's a little eager to start moving fast but I can go slow enough to navigate turns and inch up to a needle-down 90 degree turn etc. Thanks for the video!
SAME THING! The motor for a mitsubishi I recovered was beyond filled with dust balls. Gave it a major clean up and scrub and it worked beautifully. Now the machine is amazingly smooth! Thanks for uploading this video!
Hello Again, Thank you for doing this video, I appreciate it very much. I get the feeling from watching a number of your other videos that you have quite a strong knowledge base. Please consider this request to do more of this type of video showing how to adjust - maintain - repair and operate the various sewing machines and equipment you highlight. Best Regards, Jack
Hey i have a juki motor that humms when on but the wheel doesn't engage. It used to sound like yours too but now you just feel the hum, what might be the problem?
Might be a dump question HOWEVER here it goes… can I leave the main part attached to my desk or do I have to remove the whole thing… it’s so heavy and hard to handle by myself and not sure I could get it remounted… thanks

Thank you! I’ll be taking my 111w clutch apart immediately for this service. I had no idea. So glad I can across this video.

Thank you! Just what I needed to see for a motor that is not engaging. ❤🎉😊
Thanks! My Adler was kind of on/off when I bought it. Now I can go slow again. Almost ordered a servo motor, now it can wait.

Hi
Please can you show me how to connect the motor to the switch
still helpful..thanks from Australia
What would cause the motor to scream when running fast and when power is switched of,stopping the motor?
possible dry or bad bearing

I think that is ok. Just make certain power is off.
Thank you, very helpful.
Hello, how about if the clute is broken
I have had a new cork plate fitted to a singer motor, the hand wheel is jammed any ideas???
Have a tech look at it.
readjust the brake, the cork is probably thicker, so the brake is too tight.
Why put marking on the motor with pencil
What kind of oil
Quality sewing machine oil.
