Old electronics and expensive RF parts often contain a large amount of gold and other precious materials. I have seen a lot of gold recovery videos on youtube. I assume that you have seen the same. Some are handling everything correct, but truth is, with the dangerous and hazardous nature of the dust and chemicals, very few get it right. It is going to either hurt yourself or the environment, when you are not handling it according to all possible codes and restrictions.
When you realize just how much equipment, chemicals, protective gear and time that has to be invested in such a refinery. And we are not yet at the handling of the resulting waste.

Thanks Steve! Considering that all CPU and RAM is just click and stick in the pocket, its properly a fairly good hourly pay, if only there was enough computers to take it from :)

nice little money maker!.. you did have a LOT of gold scrap tho... how many years where you collecting? (not sure if you mentioned it in the first vid)
It was collected over 4 years, but not with an effort at all, its just if I passed computers when at the scrap yard, I would take CPU and RAM from them. Rest is from many different teardown videos :)
