With the exception of some former MLG players, most UA-camrs cheat their gameplays using xim and cronusmax or they lobby shop. If they play with a simple dualshock controller they will go negative for sure.

I just dont understand why like 95% off all attachements reduce ads speed, at least thats what the game tells us. Feels like they want you to pre aim every corner and move less after you put on some attachements.
IW did say they wanted this game to be a tiny bit more realistic then previous CODs. Adding attachments adds weight to the gun.
@@B_to_the_H Acquire a target with ironsights and then an eotech holo sight in real life and tell me which is quicker.
@@stevent2671 I'm merely speculating on why IW made it this way. Of course acquiring a target with optics is easier in real life. But we're talking about a game mechanic regarding bringing your rifle up from low ready. Just because optics in real life have negligible weight and won't slow down bringing the rifle up doesn't mean the developers didn't exaggerate the added weight to indeed slow it down in-game for balancing.
@@stevent2671 Also, ADS time is more how fast you can bring your gun up in game, not how fast you can visually acquire target, so you're comparing two different things.
In real life , you're gonna be able to bring a carbine like an AR or M4 with iron sights up faster than an M249 with an optic. Why? Because of the weight difference.
Again, it's just exaggerated in game when it comes to attachments.

I tried to quantify vertical and horizontal recoil reduction for the M4A1 at 3:00
TL:DR: Best attachments are Compensator, Muzzle Break and Commando Foregrip. Read more for details.
I counted the pixels between the lowest and highest point of each spray pattern for the vertical recoil.
I counted the pixels between the left most and right most point of each spray pattern for the horizontal recoil.
I also estimated the deviation of bullets in the first 15 shots.
It would have been more reliable if multiple spray patterns from multiple magazines were overlayed on top of each other. I can't trust the horizontal recoil very much, so take that with a grain of salt. The vertical recoil reduction should be fairly consistent though, from my own testing too. Here are the results:
Muzzle Brake: -18% vertical, -8.94% horizontal recoil with LITTLE horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Compensator: -27.21% vertical, -13.58% horizontal recoil with LARGE horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Commando Foregrip: -12.52% vertical, -0.66% horizontal recoil with EXTREMELY LITTLE horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Merc Foregrip: -25.2% vertical, -20.19% horizontal recoil with MEDIUM horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Ranger Foregrip: -20.2% vertical, -7.94% horizontal recoil with MEDIUM horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Operator Foregrip: -23.87% vertical, -11.92% horizontal recoil with MEDIUM horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Rubber Rear Grip: -10.68% vertical, -0.66% horizontal recoil with LARGE horizontal deviation in the first 15 bullets
Recommended choice for vertical recoil reduction: Compensator
Recommended choice for horizontal recoil reduction: Commando Foregrip.
Recommended choice for a balance of both vertical AND horizontal reduction with just 1 attachment: Muzzle Brake or Commando Foregrip depending on which attachment slot you want to use and whether you want to sacrifice a bit of ADS or a bit of movement speed. They are reduced by very negligible amounts either way though.
Enjoy.
I am using
-monolithic supressor
-m16 granader
-ranger foregrip
-g.i mini reflex/or rear grip idk what to use
-60 mags
Is ranger better than commando?
@@adriansapi same but instead of ranger I use commando and instead of gi mini reflex I use the stippled grip tape.
would this somewhat apply to other guns like the mp5?
adrian yea I bet your ADS speed is a pain the ass. Literally no mobility with those attachments

Hello everyone, I took some time to follow up on some weapon recoil tests made by: (TheXclusiveAce)
When choosing attachments to make your recoil significantly better, I found a few interesting things:
1) The weapon stats reflected in the menu from various attachments are some what untrue, and some even are completely untrue.
2) Many weapons will occasionally demonstrate recoil that varies from normal standards - (an outlier)
3) I tested every attachment on their own, and then tested each combination changing only 1 attachment, then putting the best against one another.
4) I tested each weapon variant twice, and also tested one weapon from each class with the worst recoil.
5) Stocks had by far the least useful affect on recoil and can be replaced with a scope or perk.
Here are the hands down best recoil attachments for all weapons with a automatic fire rate in combination:
+ Muzzle: (Compensator)
+ Barrel: (The longest barrel measured in inches" )
*Make sure the effects state it affects recoil control
+ Underbarrel: (Merc Foregrip)
+ Reargrip: (Rubberized Grip Tape)
+ Stock: (Any stock that adds aiming stability)
Hope this helps you guys! It certainly surprised me as some of the information I found contradicts what I thought previously.
merc better than ranger?
@@LukesYT23 Yes it is. The stats on the weapon display do not accurately present the affect the attachment has on your weapon. Even though the ranger attachment is unlocked later on many guns it seems to have a lesser result on recoil. Hip fire accuracy is increased with the ranger foregrip however. So if for instance you wish to use the ranger on a run and gun sub class, it would be a better choice. In terms of pure recoil it is worse.
Paiden Easley what about commando? Been seeing a lot of pros use this on their slow AR classes for the stability but is it significantly worse than merc?
@@LukesYT23 Ah yes! I thought for sure my tests were a fluke, but I tested over 45 combinations of attachments and did 3 bullet spread tests for the best combinations on 6 common weapons at the same range. The Merc foregrip out performed the commando in every test. HOWEVER many attachments decrease aiming stability, so if you are using a long range sight, like a 3.25 zoom acog, then are likely going to want some stability and thats where the commando comes in. If I had to give pure recoil percentages to commando vs Merc, the commando is perhaps a 10% reduction / the Merc is more like 20%. Hope that helps!
Gonna use this in next year when my cod finally downloads
The longer barrels give you recoil control too probably the best control. Use the the stabilizers and the long barrel to make recoil nothing but a small drag down on the aiming stick or mouse
“predictable pattern”. *FAL under lvl 25 kick flashbacks*
but really. nice guide!
Yeah, I used the fal just to be different. If you don’t mount, you’re kicking like a mule.
Is it worth using? I can't understand the point of it it seems really weak
has anyone tried the burst perk for the FAL? Is it good?
Tango Sucka! It’s good, but at that point you might as well just use the famas
Harry Buhse It’s worth using just for the sake of using something different. If you’re able to be accurate you can get kills quickly, just admittedly rough until you unlock a grip for it. Mounting is great w it but I’d try it out if you want a different playstyle
Just an observation after watching the M4 recoil, every attachment actually helped significantly. While the total height of the entire shot spread remained similar, the first several rounds were much tighter with all of the attachments. It’s not often you need to shoot more than a handful of rounds in a gunfight anyway. Great video!
Just to make note and I've tested this recently. But when going for the "best spread" pay attention to the Recoil Control on the gun stat bar and not the individual attachment words, some aiming stability attachments actually give better recoil control I.E. Tactical Foregrip. Whereas Recoil Control attachments gear more often towards the Accuracy stat.
Also oddly enough Recoil Control for the stat bar effects the 680's spread, and accuracy helps the FR 5.56 the most. This game is all over the place. Hard to keep track
I’d personally like to see sprintout and strafe speed next, in that order
A hint:
Movement Speed also affects Aim Walking Movement Speed to my surprise. I thought it would only affect normal walking speed. Havent tested sprinting speed yet.
@@BIackSkillX Really? That's pretty interesting.

@@GeneralSnivy That's Hackney yard for you. That map is way too small.
Need an attachment for fixing spawns Ace .
Commando foregrip is by far the best, it helps with keeping your recoil vertical, it helps with ideal sway and it also doesn’t reduce your aim down sight time like the other grips
Knzha it doesn’t affect vertical recoil, just horizontal
But it drastically reduces your movement speed. Try running a gun without it and you'll see for yourself. I loved the commando grip, but now I rarely use it.
judging from the video, I can almost not even see the difference...
3:15 - if all patterns are similar, with the Rubber Rear Grip you miss that the first 5 bullets are within the same distance of the first-to-second jump of the "base". THAT IS HUGE!!! It is exactly the first few shots that matter the most!

TheXclusiveAce What other 3 attachments should I put on the M4 besides commando grip and compensator
I started focusing more on ads speed and I'm doing much better now.
Sameeeee
See aiming stability affecting idle sway is something that should definitely be annotated in the description of the attachments. Was looking for the difference between rubberized grip tape and granulated. Didnt understand how something could less steady but help recoil at the same time until I watched this. Thanks!
would love to see an updated "warzone" version of this that includes "best set ups" for example, i think MOST players would agree that, for the m13, monolithic suppressor and tempus marksman barrel are the "must have" attachments. would love to see the best foregrips to compliment these attachment types. I would assume commando foregrip is still the best but i see a lot of people run the ranger foregrip so would be interesting
Yeah im running the m13 too and I don't know if I should use the ranger or commando foregrip
@@mikaniesing8321 i personally find the commando better. Any other foregrip feels like it slows ADS too much for me.

I respect you Ace, this probably took a lot of work but I loved it and it was really helpfull
Damn dude, you went through and dotted every single bullet hole for every attachment on every gun by hand? Kudos for all the hard work! 😦
actually, for the M4, i feel like muzzle brake + commando foregrip works best by maxing out on the horizontal spread.

Compensator and Commando Forgrip. Saved you 10 min. Still very informative video. Nice work man
I really love the FAL but that recoil is insane when u try to go max firerate
wonder if I should grind out to get burst for FAL. just hate getting punished by m4a1 people when using FAL.
@@jessesimonds6744 Burst is really good on the FAL! It really reduces the recoil while the burst itself has max rpm or even a faster rpm than max semi-rpm.
@@BIackSkillX Does the burst hit harder than the Famas? because sometimes that gun takes 2-3 burst if no headshots land
@@jessesimonds6744 Yes, it usually takes 1 less shot, but may vary on the body part you hit and the distance
@@BIackSkillX awesome going to give Fal a go again, gave up on it lately
Great video, I come back frequently and what I noticed is that I would love to have barrels included in your considerations as at least the M4A1 barrels have recoil related attributes. I understand that you wanted to stick with the seven “general” attachments across all weapon types and you included the barrels in your specific M4A1 gun guide, however to have a full picture in terms of “recoil management” it would fit here from my point of view. Thanks and keep up the good work! 😊👍🏻

@@acebrawler2000 I've been using the Mp7 and corrupter AR.
One thing that is interesting is the grouping of the shots. Usually, you are not going to spend a whole mag into one guy, if you do you are dead already. Probably the first 10 shots are what it counts, from the images you can notice that some attachments provide better groupings, thus helping land the first 10 shots more easily and killing the enemy faster.
This was really helpful, keep up the great work!

Great video Ace. I'd love to see more videos like these that show the differences with the attachments and how the pros and cons affect the the guns. Looking forward to the gun guide videos.
Does having multiple “recoil control” attachments greatly reduce the recoil then or is it capped at 1???
It stacks but it recoil pattern becomes really weird (especially the RAM-7 or the M4). You’re better off putting a Control Attachment and a Stabilization Attachment to get the full effect out of it
@@acebrawler2000 or at least one stabilisation one, otherwise you get something with horizontal recoil weirdly
Yeet Meister the best of both worlds you can get is compensator alongside with the commando foregrip. You get reduced horizontal and vertical recoil so you are more accurate. Also I recommend putting on the longest barrel on a gun that helps with your vertical as well such as the “Stock M16 Grendier” barrel on the M4A1.

The thing I noticed with the first set of tests 2:47 is that the bounce from the first shot to the second is all reduced significantly by those attachments - which is more beneficial than the rest of the recoil pattern makes it seem, as you'll hit your early shots. Possibly something you missed Ace
Hey Ace my how do you feel about people saying all the maps should be removed
Oh yes that is a super reasonable and easy change
Ameer Rehman I personally think that people should learn the maps before calling for them to be removed
I actually agree all the maps are way too big(-gulag showers)but it just make the pace of the game way too slow i understand the game is ment to be realistic but its just not fun to play for me
If they where to fix it they could just release 1 good map and remove one of the old ones and fix them 1 by 1

Ace, i would love if you could revisit the aiming stability aspect of the video. Testing has shown that this “sway” continues even after your first shot. effectively making the recoil patters more inconsistent. That’s actually where the inconsistency of the recoil pattern comes from.

I wonder if you flipped it and instead of comp (control)+commando(stab) you had muzzle brake (stab) + merc (control). Merc also gives you hipfire, so on the MP7 which I hipfire with a lot, maybe that's a better way to go.

Can you revisit this? I think aiming stability actually makes a difference in recoil when shooting. For example put a m16 stock on an m4...
I'll say it here, I'll say it to your face. You are the king of CoD man.
i think you should add a vertical line up from the first bullet on the recoil patterns so we can see how much they deviate laterally
Used to watch a ton during BO4. Glad to be back. Thx for all u do my guy
Incredible guide! You are really turning cod into science and I applaud you for that!
I don't know what I would do without yours videos Ace.....keep it up
From what I observed, with practice, you dont need much recoil control attachments once you got the feel or control of your weapon in game. ADS speed and movement is more critical in game.
Tbh with you this guy should have more then 1 million subscribes
*Single shot* > use recoil/ aim stabilization attactments. Keeps you from fighting the gun too much at range.
*Full auto* > use recoil control attactments. Just.... spray and hold on lol
I was mostly going with attachments that help recoil and was doing lousy. Switched to ones that help ADS and started doing a lot better. Didn't think the M4 was that slow to aim but apparently it is. Also, latency doesn't help matters (mine changes from 300 to 850 range depending on the time of day or if my wife is watching shows)
For Scar the best combo is muzzle break and merc grip. Based on my short testing. It has the lowest vertical recoil and straight line.
Use the longest barrels available, they may slow ads time but they reduce the recoil significantly, for example on the AK-47 the Romanian barrel reduces the visual recoil and actual recoil
This is incredibly thorough and well done. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
Cant wait for ads times video. I have watched the beta video but I still found if you stack attachments with negative ads speed it really slows it down . Especially the scar.
Good stuff bro. Out of dozens of dozens of other channels, looking at similar info. You're only one I subscribed to. Good work, all around, really.
Gun guide is gonna be lit this year.
You should do a video covering the best hipfire attachments for guns. I know the only attachments that say they affect hipfire are the red and green lasers and one of the vertical foregrips, but it would be interesting to see if any of the other attachments affect the hipfire. As well as how much the lasers and vertical foregrip actually increase hipfire accuracy.
The muzzle break works way better than the compensator on the ak47 at long range, just anticipate the first 2 shots to kick like crazy and then just pull straight down.
my ak47 setup is:
muzzle break
spesnaz barrel (for looks, since i need bullet velocity but hate the look for the rpk barrel)
tac laser
skeleton stock
ranger foregrip (but i have a feeling the merc forgrip might be better)
TLDR - Compensator + Commando Grip is great at handling recoil. Most Recoil setups on their own aren't worth much.
Yayyyyyy I can't wait for the ADS speed video! Thanks for this one Ace I've been looking forward to the series coming out
Ace not sure if u know how important you are to us. I love all the information we get in all of your video's
