I would put a magnetic blanket or cardboard on the motor fan inlet, it will be way more powerful and efficient that way in the cold. The cooling on those Yanmar diesels works in Afganistan at 120 degrees running 3600rpm generators day and night, you don’t even need the fan on it in winter, even at full bore and lugging it.
IT was 100 Degrees This weekend , And I Cooked for LOL! This diesel Seems to not like Too hot of weather. But this model is made for Canada.. So can be a little different. When she gets Too hot.. She just "Shuts off" Unless i have her on more than 50% throttle But i was working her REAL Hard... And Seems like when she gets too Hot.. I get a LOT of Crank case pressure and she blows oil out of a lot of places.. I know i should REALLY Look at her... And see about the crank case Vent... But at the same time... I Am lazy.
I have a Harbor freight cordless heat gun and it works great when I wrap cars, it’s a very small spot of heat, and very low cfm but it actually works decently, I have a 5amp hour battery and get a day of spot usage out of it. It would definitely start the diesel. I would keep the heat gun inside until you need it though, doesn’t heat up that fast.
Have you changed the oil in the rear axle? I’m noticing it almost dies when you dump the clutch, even the predator I had on my sears didn’t bog that bad. The transmission oil on these things probably has never been changed, mine wasn’t & it still had all the original tires & it was all nasty & milky. I could notice it was a lot smoother after I changed it. Should probably do it again to flush the rest of the milky crap out. For an oil change get the oil in quart sizes it’s much easier.
@@starpuss look at you being all catty where you think I won't see it..... I'm sure it has absolutely NOTHING to do with your lack of time management skills OR your unwillingness to do Anything during the summer months 😝
great video curtis one of my favorites tractior plowed really nice u did a good job nice and clean and the ranger started up nice bit fussy at first not bad havent seen a ranger cold start in a longtime lol
God those single cylinder diesels make me cringe they sound like a old flat head briggs with no oil knocking away. The v twin winsun diesel engines sound sweet
Nope , Nothing , But next winter ill have a Grid Type intake heater on her , I have around 4 spare intake heaters for them.. But they are installed on other little diesel engines but i know they will fit this one , i just dont have the time to install one yet LOL
