    Here Bob is apologizing that it is a 7 part long series. Me thinking it’s only 7 parts and I’d watch 10 parts! Great presentation and build videos. Keep up the great work.

    Bob.... That's STUNNING!! As my English Friends say, that's quite a bit of Kit!
    NOW Tamiya needs to make an actual Fire Truck!!!
    Could you imagine!? An American LaFrance - with Tamiya quality!?? It would also be a Wiring NIGHTMARE, but beyond impressive.....
    OR a Hook and Ladder - with rear Trailer STEERING?? 😲

    Great, big project, as always You put your heart and a lot of work into it. I admit that I do not like this set very much, I prefer more universal trucks that can carry various things. However, the amount of fun during assembly is well worth the price. I have reservations about the headlights, they could have tried harder and added some lenses to better diffuse the light. I also think that they should think about cables, there are a lot of them, unfortunately there is not enough space for them. It was great to watch, thank You for Your work, I am currently building an Arocs timber truck with 6x6 drive, planetary gearbox, Beier module and many other improvements. When I'm fed up, I watch Your movies and regain energy for the project :) Thanks Bob!

    Very nice build. I watched your king hauler build (one day build!) I've been building my grand for weeks now...I've built many, MANY kits over my 20 + years in the rc hobby but I wanted to take my time, no rush. The paint process is my least favorite and that is finally done. Just need to add the details to the body. I was amazed when you built one in a day. I don't believe you installed the MFU kit but that's still amazing. My interest in RC has slowed over the years. Your's seems to be trucking right along! No pun intended ;)

    Thanks for the videos. I am partway through my build at the moment working on the cab having completed the chassis. The problem we are having in the UK is low or no stocks of Tamiya parts due to Covid-19. Shortages include the likes of LED extensions, TS spay paints etc. I did manage to get oil filled dampers though and they fit great. It seems sad that Tamiya could not have included additional wiring in such a premium kit. I am enjoying building the kit though and thanks for all your tips.

    I bought the baier sfc1 bundle. Should it have the rumble motor and weight?

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  2 місяці тому

      Generally glue interferes with plastic cement. Use E6000 on painted parts or similar (or screw them together). The Beier SFR-1 does not have vibration motor capability by itself. You could add a small speed control to work a vibration unit but I personally do not like vibration. They shake the trucks apart.

    Hey Bob,
    I’m in Australia and just bought one of these tow trucks locally and I am going to use another MFC-03. I have watched all your videos on building it-very professional and well detailed.
    I already have a King hauler with an MFC-03 but at the moment I’m only using the the Futaba 4WYD which is a pain in the butt.
    looking to change over to a FS-I6 for both trucks.
    Your videos say you have a setup guide on how to set the transmitter.
    Any chance on a link on how to do it?
    Appreciate your help in advance
    Cheers

    I'm building the kit right now, I'm a few weeks behind you so your videos have been quite a helpful preview of what is to come. I'm a little surprised Tamiya instructs us to paint nearly all of the already-black plastic parts with TS-29 black, especially when you consider that so many are not even highly visible in the finished model, like the boxes that go along the sides and get covered by the exterior skin. I guess they show up somewhat as the fender trim. Did you paint all the already-black parts black as instructed? I did buy 6 cans of TS-29, so I guess I'll follow the instructions.

    • @HobbyconceptsLLC
      @HobbyconceptsLLC  4 роки тому

      I painted all the parts that show like air intakes, bumpers, grills, winch parts etc. I also painted all the hinges that are molded in white?? I did not paint the side boxes, internal covers etc.
