Rx 7600 is around 25 percent faster, 269 dollars, supports direct x 12 ultimate which the 1080 ti does not. The 1080 ti will not be able to run a lot of games coming up in the next year. I would highly recommend ignoring the advice in this video. The power consumption, lack of API support, and lack of any hardware ray tracing support means the 1080 ti is on its death bed.
@@vKobie 1080ti has 11gb of vram which is something you don't get in the 7600 unless its a 7600xt, also most of the 1080ti cards I'm finding are around $200 and at that price its a decent deal.
@@krizztykrab2297 Are you sure about that buddy? The 3050 performs similarly to an RX 6650XT in Ray tracing. AMD isn't even too bad at ray tracing, with the 6800 XT (Which you claim is equal to a 3050) being as good as a 3060 Ti.
Love budget gaming PC's. Love the 1080 Ti's. Awesome graphic card. Love the EVGa cards, too! Thank you for the informative run down of a good budget gaming PC. Love the bible study at the end. Peace
Quite literally testing the limits of this GPU (the Asus box one in the background), I have 3 34" monitors hooked up to mine one of them is 165hz and the other 2 are 60hz. Had this GPU for probably 6-7 years now and it is still a beast but of course runs extremely hot when running any decently demanding game on the current setup. It's def reaching its limit in the coming years for sure but it's crazy how ahead of its time it was.
Our 6 year old uses my old 1080ti in his rig. It is awesome but even compared to an RX6650xt (£200) performs head over heels better. The architecture is dated and now that microsoft has announced they will implement FSR/DLSS and REAL Ray tracing in everything so VRAM is no longer an issue with GPUs the rx6700xt will supercede any and every RTX 30 series and be the go to avergae gamer card as the ras and vram are well beyond 1440p standards majority of gamers use. The 1080Ti and 3060 were the last 2 times in 8 years Nvidia was actually okay or worth a thought. edit: Our 6 year olds rig is a 1080 TI/ 3600X/ MSI x570 mobo with 32GB DDR4- he will completely skip the Am5 chipset and never even think about intel and their recent thoughtless chips.
went to ebay and bought the rog strix gtx 1080 8gb redone all the thermals put new fiber optic stuff for the led and lastly bought a new fan kit for it . all in at 145.00 and that thing is a beast man great video thank you..
The fact that Alan Wake 2 is already patched after not being playable on release only adds to the 1080ti's versatility and longevity. Im definitely buying another 1080ti asap. 1080ti continues to thrive over 7 years after release.
i agree the 1080 ti has incredible value nowadays despite being a 7 year old card, some people say pascal was one of the best gpu generations from nvidia ever and honestly i think so too. I used my gtx 1060 from 2018 until about 6 months ago and it handled everything like a champ. Only problem with the 1080 ti nowadays as a budget option is that its a power hungry card so having to spend extra on your psu isnt always ideal for a budget build from scratch. in my opinion the 5700 xt is a better value because its usually cheaper, pulls less wattage, is newer and performs similarly to the 1080 ti
Outdated. 6600 is now stronger/blowing ties with it. Nearly 220W power consumption, vs the 6600 100-120? Yeah, thanks but, the power draw wins for me. Yeah the ti has 11gb, but, nowadays, electricity is going up. 1080ti is £233 6600 £139 6600xt £190 - 210
please this is such bad advice. Please buy a 7600 or please look at Daniel Owen on this site. He has many videos about GPU buying guides that includes actually good BUDGET GPU's that will play well in 2024. NO ONE should be buying a 1080 TI in 2024. it is a well-liked relic from the past but let's leave it in the past.
Don't buy the 1080 Ti. It's gotten overpriced lately, and the RX 5700 XT is much cheaper and better performing. If you want to buy new though go with the RX 600, which is much cheaper, but does sacrifice a little bit of performance. Also, I call BS on your superposition benchmark claim. You either didn't use the same settings for both, or that was a malfunctioning 3080.

thank god someone in these comments has some sense 😭😭 there is no way anyone should be buying a 1080 ti in 2024
My 1070 is holding strong in 1080p lol

Ray tracing? Even 3050 can beat 7600 in ray tracing, 3050 competes with 6700-6800xt in ray tracing.

true words. With a GTX 1080 Ti and something like a Ryzen 3600 you can build a system that is energy efficient, cost effective and competent.

Nice video! I love building pcs and love reviews
I am using my $30 RX470 4GB to play WarThunder at max settings at 100+fps so yes I agree

1080ti is £233
6600 £139
6600xt £190 - 210
I wanted to get a 1080 ti but the price for one was $200 so i got a 5700 non xt for $150 that has similar performance compared to a 1080 ti.

Superposition 4k Optimized (10200 score) with a 9700k and 32gb ram and a 1080 ti that was overclocked.
