I know how you feel. Perhaps, you could find some new plants that bring you joy through your sense of smell, sound, or touch. There are many ways to enjoy the garden.🦋
Gardening can be so therapeutic. Since you have arthritis, you might want to start slowly by focusing on a pot garden on your patio or porch. then, once you gain skill and confidence you can expand into a flower bed. Good luck.💐
Your garden is lovely. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. I miss gardening and am making it a priority to learn tips and tricks to expand my living space outdoors for next year. This year, I am reintroducing plants into my living space that can tolerate extreme low light. :)
Thank you, eva-Lynn. It sounds like you were on the right track. It seems that we both may share a love for nature. My house would not feel like a home without my house plants. I love them as much as I love my gardens outside. Plants help to keep a home fresh and full of life. Some indoor plants are even famous for helping to keep the air clean. If you have any questions about gardening or care for your house plants with vision loss feel free to ask. I am happy to share any adaptive techniques that might help you to put your green thumb to work.
Hi Jaz,I am legally blind middle aged adult that would like to do container gardening for the first time and I was wondering is container gardening in May of this year in my backyard. What are the best containers,Soil and drainage, veggies, fruit, herbs and cat safe herbs can I grow in the containers and pots in the backyard? My family and I have two spayed female cats that love cat nip,can I grow cat nip in pots in the house or in the backyard containers?
I’m a blind gardener too! Born and raised on a farm, I’ve always had a garden. And some hens for an egg for breakfast. I find I really enjoy fragrant plants now and grow lots of herbs with strong scent. That helps me to orient myself as well. I know the mint should be on my right and the garlic on the left of the row leading to the apple tree! Lol. I find raised beds easiest to manage.
Is it time to revive ur garden?!?! I grow hops, strawberries, avocados, artichokes, aloe vera, dragonfruit, apricots, peppers, eggplants, matos, etc! I needd to rrdo drip irrigation etc. I live near San Diego, so it goes Alll year. I want to automate irrigation, but need some blind accessable gear. Post more!
Hey, sounds like you have an incredible garden. Hope my video was able to give you a few helpful tips. Definitely plan to start posting again soon. Life slowed me down a bit, but I’ll be back. Thanks for watching.
This video was an asset to me. Thnx. Losing sight due to DM. Gardening has always been my passion. I am going to miss seeing my blossoms.

I would love to keep chickens. Any tips for a blind person like me?
