XkreoX, "Sei-bu-kan" Translates directly as "True-martial arts-school. It has also been referred to as the holy art/school. A blend of Tomari-te and Shuri-te (as well as hints of shaolin kenpo inherent in all original "Te"), it is among the purest lineages of those systems. Chotoku Kyan learned the styles and kata of all of the greatest masters in Okinawa, Fuzchow China, (and Taiwan). He taught various elements of his vast knowledge to different students throughout his life.
He was also challenged to public fights MANY times by other karate-ka who thought he could not live up to his reputation as possibly Okinawa's best fighter. However, in his latest years he chose one student to whom he taught everything he knew. That student was Zenryo Shimabukuro who founded Seibukan, which is now headed by his son Zenpo Shimabukuro - Hanshi, Judan (or Grandmaster 10th degree black belt; also referred to as 10th Dan red belt). Jion is not original to the Seibukan lineage.

I never seen this version of Jion kata before.
Exactly the way I learned the kata except for the deep zenkutsudachi after the hammer-fists.

Oops, forgot to mention that Kyan allegedly defeated ALL of his challengers (supposedly with little effort)
Different version of Jion, closed to Shito Ryu version. Shorin Ryu Kyudokan has a completely diferent version.
