The thing about ADHD is isn't just hopping from one short term distraction to the next. It is also hyperfocus, like spending 17 hours an art project without getting up to eat or pee and experiencing it like just a couple hours. Oh wow! I never thought about the fact that pilots need to be able to multitask all that much. I’ve personally never had the desire to be a pilot bc I’m terrified of both heights and being responsible for someone’s possible death/injury, but now I have another reason why that’s not a viable career choice for me 😂 I can barely manage walking and talking at the same time, let alone such advanced-level multitasking 💀

Ah, to measure multitasking capability and probably reaction speed as well. I did something similar when the american airforce wanted to recruit me… I had really high reaction speed for my age because of my inattentive-type ADHD, and my light sensitivity allowed me to see and react to stuff close to and in my peripheral vision far more quickly than the average could. I failed close to where the average my age does; my reaction speed could only carry my poor multitasking capabilities so far. It was cool that the recruiter let me do their testing game three times when I wasn’t interested whatsoever in joining. I also have motion sickness even if I’m behind the wheel, so I gotta carry a few pills for at all times. Recruiter was great and made a note of it for the recruitment team to stop mailing me stuff three times a year. I was peeved at them wasting paper on me more than anything else 😅

@Jack Wrath GameGrumps doesn't do content. They do improvisational comedy. It's a TV show available on public channels in Europe. The games aren't real. It's all scripted. Dan is just a voice Arin does.
I would love to see Arin play the rhythm game "Melotonin" enough that when he shows it to Dan for an episode, he feels confident enough to play it blindfolded. It would ring back to the Mario Maker level when Arin knew the level played to the beat of the background music.
That water song level is brutal gotta be so perfect and precise Most rhythm games have some grace or wiggle room that level has none frame perfect the whole song I wanna try some like that for other songs in the game still hard ones but not that hard lol
I looked that up, and it looks to be a Rhythm Fever-inspired game? It’s not 2000s Japan, but it looks visually gorgeous! I’ve seen at least one rhythm indie in that specific style a long time ago. It was one where you’re in a hospital and you have to tap along to one, and then multiple, patients’ heartbeats. I just don’t know what the genre is called!
The flappy bird guy actually took it down because he felt bad because people were claiming that their addiction to it was running their lives and he also dealt with video game addiction
And also because tons and TONS of people were breaking their phones in rage over the game, some people supposedly got divorced over a flappy bird-induced fight, and he apparently even got death threats.

Hey Arin, just so you know, the Flappy Bird story isn’t as you told it. It was a Vietnamese developer’s game (Dong Nguyen) who pulled it from the App Store because he felt guilty about how addictive it turned out to be.
I was about to comment the same thing. It takes a lot of heart to remove something that's making you tons of money because you see that its having a negative impact on people lives. Way more impressive than this "people said his game sucks so he removed it" story that Arin somehow internalized.

I think some people have pointed this out already but Arin's flappy bird story was pretty fully incorrect. i looked up the reason for Flappy Bird's removal and, according to wikipedia, the reason is way more respectful than quitting over bad reviews. to that dev👍
The flappy bird story is incorrect (I've heard a similar style rumor with completely different details). More factually the creator says he removed the game because he felt guilty for how addictive it was. ...But then they later made official coin slot versions, so that guilt must have subsided. xD
When they had the "Baha Boys" vs. "Baha Men" i thought Dan was gonna say "They can't be the Baha boys anymore after they had their Baha Mitzvah"

The flappy bird story is incorrect (I've heard a similar style rumor with completely different details). More factually the creator says he removed the game because he felt guilty for how addictive it was. ...But then they later made official coin slot versions, so that guilt must have subsided. xD
Hearing Arin casually reference Jeff Gordon my favorite racecar driver is so surreal
I love how in the opening list of cities, Arin has clearly had someone from Melbourne shout at him about how you pronounce Melbourne.
8:47 that's hilarious to me because my ex's daughter is called Daz. Short for Dazzling. ... ... ikr

The real question is how TF did they find out about this game? The steam page only has 8 reviews on an almost 5 year old game
Just reminds me of the quote from battle kid
“You gotta pay attention to everything cause it’s coming at you. It’s coming at you like Cleopatru”
Multitasking while watching a video of someone multitasking is really meta…who else is at work?
