Scenario lore: A successful Newburgh Conspiracy led by Horatio Gates results in a majority of the Continental Army marching on Philadelphia in the early summer of 1783 and taking over the government. After proving themselves powerless and unable to govern the now newly independent "United States of America" and after failing repeatedly to pay the Continental army their wages that they promised since the start of the Revolution, Congress is overthrown and Independence hall is occupied in July of 1783. George Washington's journey to Newburgh is delayed by an hurricane, a child of the great central Atlantic storm of 1782, which heavily damaged the Royal Navy fleet of Admiral Graves off Newfoundland. Washington fails to deliver his famous Newburgh speech as a result. Numerous attempts to stop the mutineers by Washington and those loyal to Congress are met with resistance by Gates' men, who now get the impression that Washington was an agent of a corrupt government no different from their British foes. In a skirmish at South Brunswick township in New Jersey, Washington 's horse Nelson, is shot out from under him, Violently throwing the 52 yo father of his country onto a hard cobblestone road, his head hit violently by the pavement, his legs crushed, his neck broken and temporarily paralyzed, unconcious, and with a coma soon coming after, Washington clings to life as he is brought to a nearby tavern where his condition would miraculously improve over the coming months, but now, he is unavailable. After capturing Philadelphia, Gates with Washington's main rival, Charles Lee, who disgraced himself at the Battle of Monmouth, declared a provisional goverment, the principles of the Declaration of Independence are void until the Nation is stable again, any who oppose it will be viewed as a traitor. The country is now in Civil war. After months of Gates fighting the opposition in numerious battles in late 1783, and with Washington finally recovered, but no less still bedridden, he seeks help from his French allies hopefully using their assistance in putting down this rebellion within a rebellion. He appoints his aide de camp, Alexander Hamilton who is steadily rising to political power, Anthony Wayne, a battle hardened veteran of the Revolution, and The French General Comte De Rochambeau, who has been fighting gates for the latter half of 1783, as heads of the Joint Franco-American force. Hearing of this, Gates plans to attack New Orleans under French and Spanish Hands. If he could kick off the main force of American allied power off the Continent, then he could gain a foothold out west. With the the tide turned against him, and all of the country now wanting his head on a pike, Gates could no longer seeing himself as dictator of the United States, he must create a new separate country for himself and for those who do not support weak and corrupt government. He plans to carve a state for himself in the Louisiana territory, even going as far as allying with Britain. As a result, many loyalists to King George now end up rallying to Gate's cause. The French and Spanish really a defense of the city with their indian allies who have been suffering at Gates' campaign in the Appalachian region. With Civil War in the young American Nation, the treaty of Paris is delayed and the war technically continues all the way into 1784. despite public opinion in favor ending the war, Britain has enough proof that the "American experiment" is already dead before it began, and Hostilities resumed, with several French defeats at the hands of the Royal Navy at the Battle of the Saintes, King George is convinced this time, they will finally subjugate the Americans once and for all.

I wonder how they make the infantry shoot like that? It looks like skirmish mode is on and then aim hesitation is increased? Or maybe it's the animation time?

It could work, but the chances of crashing is very high. In etw2, it's pretty much a mixture of multiple mods put in together to make this massive overhaul for empire

Hi
The Battle of New Orleans was in 1815, not 1788. The American Revolution was over by 1783. This was the last battle of the War of 1812.
This is not a historically accurate battle, like i said in the video. And this is just a request from a subscriber
You tell ‘em man I was just thinking that
thats because this isnt meant to be a real battle doofus
