Bonjour madame, M a BIG FAN of urs. :) Can you please check these sentences please... 1) I am able to eat - Je peux manger 2) I was able to eat - Je pouvais manger 3) I have been able to eat - J'ai pu manger 4) I could eat - Je pourrais manger 5) I could have eaten - J'aurais pu manger. 6) I could have been able to eat - J'aurais pu être manger 7) I should be able to eat - Je devrais pouvoir manger 8) I wanted to eat - Je voulais manger. 9) I had to eat - Je devais manger. 10) I have had to eat - J'ai dû manger.
Another question . Should be not use the NOUS of the PRESENT tense in the formation of EVERY verb in the imperfect tense? That's what i read in another place.
The last one was confusing. Are we putting the sentence into the past because we were instructed to or because it should be obvious from the sentence? Eg I'm sure "de" is the negation of" de la" and " du" BUT then Alex said she forgot the "la" which would mean it would not be obvious that we should put it the negative form! Help
