The thing is, it's very hard to hid floyd with combos. He would get hit for the first 3-4 rounds and then begin timing taylor and getting a decision.

No offence but most of his punches look weak, lacking power. He punches from his elbows as you would see in amateur bouts, which provide speed but reduce power. Also he has only 20 KOs in 47 matches so I am pretty convinced he sacrificed his power for speed.

Meldrick was a tremendous fighter, shame the Chavez fight ruined his career, but no shame in losing to a legend. Also no shame in having a draw with Howard Davis Jr. who wasn't as fast as he was in his prime when he fought Taylor, but still had enough skill to give Taylor fits.

Chavez was not in the furthest neutral corner as stated in the preflight instructions, had Steele sent him to the neutral corner, the bell would have rung.

Taylor loved to get into brawls too much. Plus, his corner stupidly told him that he was behind on the cards (he wasn't) and that he needed to go out and fight the final round. It surprises me that trainers as great as Lou Duva and Georgie Benton would give him such terrible advice.
its kinda fucked he lost that ceasar fight. honestly why can a ref choose to stop a fight with 20 secs. and just choose the winner hate it that their arent two extra refs like their are judges. refs have too much power. can allow one fighter to fight dirty or lose the fight off of a single knockdown with giving a count.
